I'm 16 years old and I have the same thing, except they cover my legs. It's extremely embarrassing, especially with summer already here. I've been getting them on and off for the past three years, and so far every dermatologist has told me the same thing: shave in the direction of the hair growth, use a new clean razor every time you shave (no more than three blades), all lotions, soaps, deodorants, shaving creams, and anything else you use on your body must be unscented, do not reuse any towels, washcloths, or loofahs unless they've been washed, and only until the infection has completely disappeared, definitely do nit shave more than 3 times a week, do not rewear any clothes that touched the infected area unless they've been washed, be careful spraying fregrances close to the infected area, and most importantly DON'T pop/squeeze/pick/scratch the bumps. You can occasionally wash the infected area with some epsimol salt or baking soda. If I would have followed those instructions 3 years ago then I wouldn't still have folliculitis today. I know this because my sister had the same thing and hers were gone within a month by following them. I am constantly picking and popping the bumps, which has left me with many scars and an extreme case of folliculitis that cannot be cured by those instructions. Sometimes neosporin will help take away the scars, but most of them are still very noticable (they completely ruined my prom pictures). I REALLY SUGGEST FOLLOWING THOSE INSTRUCTIONS! I know that seeing the pus start to come out of these bumps makes them so tempting to pop, but it's the absolute worst thing you could possibly do to them! Try putting warm wash cloths on cloths on the infected area and lightly (VERY LIGHTLY) running the pus or blood out of the bumps. It's a lot of rules, but they all pay off in the end. If that doesn't work then you might have a more extreme case. JUST REMEMBER TO RESIST THE URGE TO PICK, POP, SQUEEZE, AND ITCH! Hope that helped out!

Hiii
These are abscess cysts
i recently had one and ended up having to go to the emergency room
i had an incision and drainage procedure
VERY PAINFUL
they can get very very bad, very very painful and dangerous.
next time you get one go to the doctors when it is starting to  form
they will give you an antibiotic and it will heal it quickly it will also help to keep them away. you can use neosporin or other over the counter antibiotic ointment (Triple antibiotic is best)
apply warm compresses about 3 times daily to the area.
My Doctor explained that she has noticed that these types of things occur most often on people who are typically hairier than others. They tend to develop in warm places on or near where hair is coarse and thick. i.e inner/back of thigh.
She suggested that I exfoliate areas like these routinely and often as well as apply a light moisturizing cream to reduce friction
hope this helps!!
Be careful please! these can get really bad

I have the same thing in my armpits and my inner thighs, i always thought it from my legs rubbing together and from my bra rubbing under my arms. I don't know how to get rid of them and they are painful sometimes.

This is typically MRSA staph (that is what my doc said).  I have been getting these ever since I gained weight.  I was told this develops from thighs rubbing together and that loosing weight would help.  At this point I would have to loose a lot of weight to help.  I have tried 4 different rounds of antibiotics and have not been able to get rid of them at all.  I think the only solution is to loose enough weight that your thighs don't rub.

I came across this topic tonight after I had just shaved my bikini area last night with the venus and olay razor (never had used before) and this afternoon after work I felt this slight pain and I looked and there looked to be a large bump on my inner thigh near to my bikini line.  I squeezed it using clean hands and a little tissue wrapped around each finger, and a little puss came out, so I squeezed a little more to try and get it out and some more shot out...then just a little blood.  Underneath the bump (about the size of a dime) was a little hard so I tried to squeeze a little more but it got too painful.

This bump seemed to just develop overnight and right after shaving with a new razor with moisturizing bars.  I just think maybe it's from that?

Basically it happens from being over weight. hair folicles on the inner thighs cannot procuce hair correctly because of friction and constant irritation,it causes the areas to become infected and very tender / painful to the touch, in turn the only way to relieve the tension and pain is to drain them wich sometimes heals the affected area and sometime exasserbates it.. i had them myself in my younger years and the only way to get rid of these is to lose the weight, even after dropping 15lbs i noticed a significant difference in the rate at wich they occured and there severity. If you are not overweight and have this problem it could be a reaction to your clothing either chaffing or smothering the skin in the area for a proonged period can cause it.

I get em under my breast the inside of my thighs and huge ones on my butt which is the most embarrassing . I am also a lesbian so it brings embarrassment to a whole new level> anyway i went to the doctor to rule out the obvious i got tested for STDs came up clean. she said the bumps under my breast were similar to a yeast infection. so she gave me a anti fungal creme to put under my breast and in inner thighs and gave me some bacitracin for the sores on my butt. which shes says is from wearing tight pants and being overweight. she says they are also activated by hot weather too so with winter coming i should have less flareups.

For the scars you have try taking like a puff shower ball or something with a rough surface... even like the green pads you use to wash dishes would work. Then before you shower take vinegar or lemon juice and scrub the dark scars. It'll take awhile of doing this, but the vinegar and/or lemon juice helps bleach those areas and sooner or later, depending on how dark your scars are they will start to light up. Of course you want to do this before you actually shower but before you wash up try sitting in the tub for a little while to let it soak in.

I have this same problem. My memory is bad so I'm not sure when I actually started getting them. I would guess around 14. I get boils anywhere from from a little smaller than a pea to the biggest one was about the size of a half dollar years ago. I mainly get them on the insides of my thighs, but in the last few years they moved to my lower stomach, behind my knees (once in blue moon), sometimes my waist area, my butt and under my boobs. My doctor could never tell me why I got them. She once told me next time I have a big painful one to call in and she would send the blood/puss the comes out of it to the lab, but shortly after I lost my insurance. Before she wanted to do this she told me a few things to try... wear only 100% cotton underwear and try changing them 2 to 3 times a day. Changing them didn't help much but the cotton did a little. Take at least 2 showers a day to make sure you wash all the dirt off your body. Also try using like dail HAND soap. Body washes won't help much.

A friend of mine I no longer speak to used to get them too. Her doctor said it's from rubbing. If you are overweight it could be skin rubbing skin, or your jeans rubbing you skin and irritating the area. Her doctor also told her that when she gets one to keep it covered by like a band aid. That way when it pops all that stuff that comes out wont get on other parts of your body b/c it could spread.

Try some or all of these things. What didn't work for me may work for you. You never know until you try. I plan on working out and losing a bunch of my weight to see if that helps me.

I get them on my waistline. It's like a red bump that won't come to a head or pop. It just leaves a dark scar. Anyone find out what it is?

It could be chafing because of the undies and pants combined.  Kind of like pinching?

This is Call H's. It is not due to being overweight, hair flocks or sanitation. Your skin has a protective layer over it that keeps the normaflora (good bacteria ) from getting into your pores. It is like saran wrap over a pummit stone. When that layer gets worn. The good bacteria goes into those pores and festers cause. The puss blood filled bumps. There is No cure for this. The bumps Are not infected. They are painful and will comeback. Then you puncture the bumps or get them lanced. It makes a space for the bacteria. To come back with a vengeance causing bigger bumps to come. Antibiotics may seem to work but they do nothing and eventually you will become. Immune. 1 in5 people. Have This. But due to embarrassment it is not widely discussed. Many medical professional s Mister diagnosis as staff. There is a study I n tx. The most effective remedy is use antibacterial soap at the infection. Site twice a day to lessen the amount of good bacteria build up. Use the bar without a towel and let it sit for two minutes. You can get non scented liqid dial and pour it into a thing of baby wipes for easy application on the go. Also increase your zinc. Intake to support wond healing and immune system. Sugar irritates these bumps. Also. Do not pop them. Take a pain pill if they get soon bad to where you can't walk. If it bust ball up toilet paper. And put it directly over the opening. Wrap it with medical take. Tightly so the paper is press ed over the wound. This is to compression the skin so you have as little space as possible when it heals. Again you don't want it to firm a pocket.
