Hi, I'm a 19 year old woman and I'm really scared. I'm probably worrying over nothing (i have terrible anxiety), but I just need to consult somebody right now, as I'm too embarrassed and afraid to do anything at the moment. A few days ago I noticed a bump on my areola(sorry if spelled wrong) that was scabbed over on top. I was nervous about it, but i put neosporin and a bandaid on it to be safe. Today I took off the bandaid and noticed it had some gross yellow-brown stuff on it, and now the bump was bleeding a little. I cleaned the area and waited for the bleeding to stop and put more neosporin and another bandaid on it. That was about 10 minutes ago, and now I'm freaking out. What could it be? Is it just a pimple? Its like a tiny raised crater, if that makes sense...

Bumps on the areola and with a discharge can be due to infections arising out of hair removal - pulling them out [hair around areola] - OR this can be due to serious underlying issues like a tumor or infections. Please do not delay, seek medical help immediately. Breast is a soft tissue, so infection spreads very easily. Visit a doctor ASAP
