OMG! I have what sounds like the same thing. It's so painful, annoying and frustrating not know what it is or not being able to treat it. This started 2 days after I delivered my son on May 2nd 2013. I get tapioca looking blisters filled with a clear fluid that's sticky, I have cuts and patches of dry like skin. This is so painful, I can't even stick my hand/fingers in the tiniest amount of water. I've gone to my PCP multiple times and he's given me multiple antibiotics because my hands and fingers end up getting infected, 15 plus steroid creams/ointments and multiple types of other medicines. .... I've gone to a skin doctor and said I have a Contact dermatitis which mean I'm allergic to something I'm in contact me by hand. Then she said it was my mail but I've been getting my nails done for well over 10 years and have never had this problem, well I went a period of time with out my fake nails and still had this problem. Still can't figure out what it is. It mainly affects my fingers but I'll Will get blister all over my palms and hands.

Lavender essential oil is the only thing I have found over the years that will stop the itching I have the same exact problem and this the only thing I have out all the medicines I've taken including prescription and over-the-counter that works

I just started having this, also.... a few days ago. I suspect sugar, as I have eaten a lot of sugary items in the last few days.

Thank you so much for posting this. It is good to hear that I am not alone! I have had similar, if not the exact same experiences as almost everyone who has posted. This also holds true for my experiences with doctors. I was told it was eczema and have been given steroidal creams. It doesn't work. Yes, SOMETIMES it can calm the irritation, but it is not very often. It has been about two years for me now. It all started when I scraped my pinky on some velcro (yes, velcro). Things never went back to normal. Reactions would come and go on different parts of my pinky. Then it started happening on my ring finger. My doctor said that I triggered an eczematic response. I don't believe that. I think he just went with the only plausible explanation to him.

Per the recommendations on this post I am going to try the collagen as well as lavender oil. let's hope this helps.
