I've been sick for about 2 days, and have been puking. The first few times it was a few specks of blood in my mucus, but now my mucus is completely red. My parents claim it's normal, but I don't know. I'm thinking it was food poisoning from some bad food at the cafeteria, but should I go see a doctor or not?
Are you sure it's blood that you are throwing up? If it is in my opinion you should see your doctor. It might be nothing but throwing up blood isn't normal. If you have been throwing up a lot and forcefully you could have broken a blood vessel in your stomach which my doctor said happened to me one time. I'm not sure if I had food poisoning or just the flu, but he had me get an upper gi done to make sure everything was ok. I hope this helps.
