I had severe back pain a few days ago and passed out. My daughter noticed a rash on my face and pointed it out to the doctor In A&E where I was admitted . In fact it is tiny dots of blood spots all over my face but mainly highlighted in the places where I have sun damage. I have a bleed in my eye also. I am hoping that this is just from the shock of passing out but it has now been about five days since it happened . I'm still not sure what caused the pain. It could be a kidney stone but we don't know. I'm just guessing similarly to vomiting passing out would cause also a rush of blood to the face . Has anybody else had this happen from a black out?

What if they have been there for a week

Thank you! Very helpful.

That reply about bumps is b.s. It's broken capillaries and bruising around the eyes due to straining so hard to vomit. Drink water, put cold packs on your eyes and they will be gone in a cpl days.

Not a party animal, but this happened to me for the first time this week after getting violently sea sick on a boat cruise. I looked like I had been assaulted. I massaged a little organic virgin coconut oil (1/4 tsp or less) into my face and neck immediately and for the next three nights, and it's nearly gone. And, I now use Dramamine while on on boats.

Wow your comment really helped, last night I threw up and woke up with these blotches on my face. I also get bruised easily so being low on iron really makes sence

its not a rash...... its broken capillaries... it will go away

I don't have dots around me eyes, my eyes literally have red all around them vomoting one time. Is this normal?

Don't worry it is totally normal and they will heal on their own. I had burst blood vessels around my eyes from throwing up 9 times due to food poisoning, In a few days the skin will cleanse itself and they will go away, if your self consious about them, its nothing a little bit of concealer wont help! Good luck all in feeling better!

I agree that the spots on your face are most likely broken capillaries from the pressure building up in your face while vomiting.

However.. Throwing up blood, even when violently ill, is NOT ok! There is usually more going on then broken capillaries in your esophagus. From experience, there is often esophageal erosion happening if blood is showing up often when vomiting (even just a tiny bit of blood). This should be something for you and your doctor to discuss and look into especially if you have heartburn regularly.

Antibiotics such as amoxicillin can help clear it away

So happy I googled this. I foolishly drank far too much recently and ended up throwing up until I was dry retching. I noticed these red marks and thought there may have been a connection as the vomiting was quite violent. I was suprised and relieved to have my thoughts confirmed. I am more than embarrassed to have this visual reminder of my wanton actions and another reminder to control alcohol rather than let it control me. My sincere thanks to Dr Khatri and all contributors.

I vomited two days ago which was very extreme I thought my insides were going to come out, anyways that's when I noticed a rash of bumps or something all over my face. Some have told me that it is broken blood vessels I still have it today 2 Days Later. Is it actually broken blood vessels from straining if so will it go away?
