I have been dieting for the past 2 months. I have lost 12 or 13 pounds now. But over the past month my bowel movements have been far and few between. I am lucky if I get 2 bowel movements a week! It never hurts when I go. It is usually a little loose. I am wondering if I am not drinking enough water. I drink about 32 oz a day. I also eat small meals but eat whatever I want. I am sticking to a 1600 calorie a day diet. I also drink coffee. About 24 oz in the morning and then Decaf at night about 18oz. Then I also think I am not getting enough fiber in my diet. I am going to go out and it some fiber supplements next. Any insight or info you need let me know to help with this problem? Before I started dieting I went once a day. I am trying not to end up at the doctor's office just yet, lol.
As long as you don't feel sick or my medical term "Yucky!" ;-) Then this is just your body being on alert that you are taking in less calories! Just like hybernation, when your body starts noticing less food and calories so starts slowing down the "processing" and starts using EVERY little bit of food! Also I am sure you are eating healthier - and something like lettuce (for eg) - will have less substance to it!

IF you start feeling - "backed up!" Then a great supplement is to start taking Omega Oils, especially Flax Seed Oil! These help your skin, hair and your poop!!! So congratulations, and keep up the good work! Everything will balance out eventually!
