Brown Spotting 2nd week of month, regular bleeding 4th week

for the past two months i have had brown spotting during the middle of the month and what seems like my regular period the last part of the month.... i have read things that say brown spotting could be an early sign of pregnancy... but if i have still had regular bleeding like a period at the end of both months...im not sure what to think...i would really appreciate any helpful suggestions you could give me... i know if it keeps happening i need to get it checked out tho...
