am 24 years old and i am having a type of bunion surgery on Frday. I am flat footed and my foot had started to have a numb/tingling sensation. Dr said that I am either missing a tendon or it has twisted under my big toe and that is causing my other tendon to pull and cause a minor bunion. This has also caused a nerve to be aggrivated. He is going to go in and cut the tendon on the inside of my big toe, so that it stops pulling, and possible shave some of the bone off the outside. He said the procedure would only take 15-30 minutes, with a possible recovery time of 2 weeks.
I am a pre-k teacher, and I am just wanting to know if this is a valid recovery time. Has anyone experienced this type of surgery?
I have not had this procedure myself, but I do know that two weeks is normal recovery time for minor foot surgery.
