bunion surgery with a boot as a teacher--any suggestions

I had bunion surgery one week ago and have another week before returning to work.
It was a large bunion with a screw put in as well as a neroma (spelling ???) between my
third and fourth toes.  I have  the full boot right now and looks like for a few weeks more.
No pressure on the ball of my foot.  Teach jr high students... what do you think??? Should I
use a walker and will getting around be impossible?  Any suggestions from the teachers out
there.  I'm a little fearful about the situation.
