I've been having some problems. It all started about a month or 2 ago when I had sex with my boyfriend without a condom. I noticed he had red bumps on his penis but he said it was an allergic reaction so I didn't think much of it. Then the next day I went to pee and it burned after I got done and I noticed a little tiny bit of blood when I wiped. So I figured it was a UTI and went to the doctor and got some meds and it went away after a few days and then it came back after awhile so I went back to the doctor and they gave me more meds and it didn't really help until a few days after I took all the meds. And now it's back! Is there something wrong?
Hi Beth,
See your doctor again and ask them why it keeps returning. Allergies aren't contagious. Is it a UTI? Have they done any tests to determine what the cause is or are they just giving you meds?
Wish I had more. It doesn't make sense that it keeps returning.
Yes they've done test. Also idk if this helps or not but the only person I've ever had sex with was with my boyfriend.
The point is Beth, that if they can identify what the infection is they should be able to treat it. It should not keep reoccurring.
Or does it happen after you have sex with your boyfriend again?
If he still has the "allergic reaction" then he should see his doctor to find out what it is. Honestly, I find it a bit hard to believe that he has an allergy that shows up only on his penis - unless maybe it's a latex allergy. Any other type of allergy, from clothing, etc., could appear anywhere on his body.
