So I have been crying, and searching for hours to find out WHY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I have these small bumps on the side and top of the back of my tongue that feel like they're being burned when I swallow, ormove, and even without any movement at all.
I have stumbled onto the best explains toon with pictures, they seem to be Lie Bumps. There's some kind of myth around them and not much information, but it seems to be something that can occur out of the blue related to the body fighting an infection (for our purposes, the body trying to heal after surgery).
The only treatment offered is ice, to numb the pain and let it subside. The bumps should go away in a few days, I'm on day 9 and for he past few days it's been worse than ever and all I can do is cry while it hurts and bide my time until the "flare-ups" sumbside.
I hope this helps anyone else who was panicking hearing about oral cancer or just plain not finding and information about it!
