How long does it take for burnt tongue syndrom to go away? My 6 years old daughter burnt tongue with hot tea and got bumps that irritate. She doesn’t want to eat anything because of the bumps. She says that they are not painful so I didn’t give her analgesics. I don’t want to pressure her to eat, but obviously I’ll have to. When can I expect these bumps to go?
They will completely go away within one or two days. My son has burnt tongue very often because eats to fast and always burn it with hot mozzarella from pizza. Just let her to forget it and don’t pressure to eat. She will ask you when gets hungry.
