:-|I got a burn yesterday Febuary -1 -2013 when dinenr was being made and i was a little hungry so i got a fork and got a little bit of rice that was so hot i ran to the sink and spit it out and it was REALLY NUMB! and now Febuary-2-2013 its really numb and hurts I tried suckign on ice 2 times and put sugar on my tongue 3 times and put it on the roof of my mouth till the sugar crystals melted...Im now going to try ice cream i hope it works! :'(

Yes,In fact a cough drop is great but dont suck on it really hard because you can cut up your burn...And that wouldnt be good having it worse! So try a cough drop then when you done drink ice cold water and later on have ice cream (if you have some ice cream...) I hope this helped you Maine

B12/ Iron deficiency.... the burns just set it off, and instead of bouncing back like usualy, toungue surface slowly melts...its breaking down.. Major quality absorbable multivitamins and or superfood green powders with no possible acidy or warm food (including bottled water, usually acidic, find some water that doesn't hurt, its more alkaline... from a machine or fiji and evian and samples...) just things that sooth and hopefully tongue will heal given all other good practices.
