I too was diagnosed with having a butterfly vertebrae today after having a CT scan a few months ago to look at my pancreas as i suffer pancreatitis, my doctor was fascinated at his fined and says he was speaking with other doctors at the hospital, i also suffer from Osteoporosis, i am 40 years old.. what problems occur from butterfly vertebrae and how rare is this.
Can anyone advse me.... ?
Hi. Did you ever find out any information about your butterfly vertebra? My son has just been found to have one ( after investigation for low back pain) . The finding is says to be incidental and not the cause of pain but I'm not confident.
well i have osteoporosis abd crushed vertebra, plus a butterfly vertebra, i suffer lots of pain, could be the problem, he needs to see a bone specialist, it was actually my consutant dealing with my pancreaus that pointed it out and its very rare to have one..he was amazed at that fact
