I'm pretty sure I get verrry mild cases of BV quite frequently during the month that usually go away after I have my period. Throughout the month if I have sex, if I skip more than one shower, or if my boyfriend orgasms inside of me, I'll notice an increase in discharge. I'm also on birth control and sometimes if they don't have the kind I usually use at the pharmacy they give me a similar brand (so that poses one theory). I also just got tested a few weeks ago just in case but the usual STD (gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphillis, HIV) tests came up all negative.

However, recently I noticed a strong, almost fishy odor when I peed and I read on SteadyHealth that it might seem like its coming from your pee, but its actually coming from your vagina. So I tested that theory and it seemed to be right. After a few days of abstaining from sex and showering everyday and using Summer's eve wash, I noticed the smell disappeared.

I was wondering, if I keep up the showers and use condoms when I have sex (or at least use withdrawal), is it possible that it can go away? I'm afraid I'm risking a worse infection, PID, or my fertility if I shrug it off when the smell goes away. But I don't have a doctor's appointment for two weeks :/

It goes away sometimes don't worry just because of the smell doesn't mean you have bv your period sometimes messes with your ph too it happened to me
