I am suffering the same symptoms. Currently both elbows hurt, with the right one being the worst. I have a pain that goes from my shoulder blade to my wrists. My right elbow has hurt for two months now. I also experience the random foot pain others have mentioned, as well as the inner thigh rash at one time, and lower back problems sporadically. I hadnt taken a shot in my right arm for about two months and seemed to improve. Got the shot in my right arm and the pain came back worse than ever. Hopefully quitting the shots will allow my body to return to normal. I would like to know whats in the shots. I know its part of your allergen, but what are the inert ingredients? I asked the shot nurse once, who didnt know. I have a cat, dust and cockroach allergy. I think there is something to this. Its amazing how some doctors will blow you off and bill you in a heartbeat.

I have just recently experienced this same physical response after approximately seven years of immunology injections, sever arm weakening and pain in both arms , in both elbows and upper arms , and exactly at the injection site. The pain comes and goes and I now have difficulty getting dressed. I will check with other doctor and my immunology physician t be sure about the amount and concentration of mold in the serum.

John, my brother-in-law has this same scenario as you. Have you had ALS for 6 years then? If so has the nerve damaged moved from your arm? His doctor thinks Allergy shots has a hand in his ALS or other disease that mimics it. Thanks you for your time.

I have been getting allergy shots for 5 months now. I can say yes to the muscle pain! On march 28th I received my normal 3 shots in my right arm ( I get shots weekly now, can't wait until its monthly) and my arm is numb at the injection site (just the top layer of skin, it I press with some force I can feel it by not a slight rub). Almost two weeks later and it's still numb.

I am so happy I found this forum. I had my very first allergy shot last week, and my neck, shoulders, and upper back got very achy and stiff for two days, as if I had gotten the flu in just those muscles. I was super-tired a few hours later and didn't want to do anything after I got home. My husband said that night that my breath actually smelled weird, as if I were sick with a cold. I had no actual problems at the injection site.

When I went back for my second shot this week, I told the doctor and nurses about my symptoms, and they said they had never heard of anyone having that kind of reaction.

They gave me another shot, but cut the dosage in half and the doctor advised me to take Allegra right away to see if the reaction was an allergic one or not. The Allegra didn't seem to do anything to help. I still had the stiff neck and aching muscles, but at about half the strength. I got chills and almost passed out about an hour after the shot. The rest of the day, my tendons and ligaments felt very loose, and an old ligament injury in my back even started to bother me again. My husband said my breath smelled weird again. After reading what others on this forum have experienced, I am afraid of the way my body is reacting, and I think I am going to discontinue the shots before I start developing some kind of systemic auto-immune problems or issues with my joints/ligaments. I would rather suffer through my allergies with oral medicine than deal with these other shenanigans!

Just saw your post. Did you ever get any more information on this? I have been getting allergy shots for about 9 months and while they have improved my immunity to sinus & respiratory infections, I believe my joint pain and recent inability to lose weight may be related to the shots.

I stopped shots close to 2 years ago, I feel it's the serum, as this has changed since close to 10 years of successful treatment back in the 90's. My hands hurt so much I could not button a pair of blue jeans and had to use two hands to start my truck. My wife patterned it, telling me you hurt the day after the shots. It took 18 months for the pain to totally go away.

I have received two months worth of injections with two shots in each arm per week. I started feeling tired around my eyes , but this has steadily progressed to tingling and feelings of a heavy head. Sharp pains at times on areas of head and sore muscles at the top of my neck. These have progressed along the course of my injection increases, but I did not really connect it until recently. I have had these issues in the past, but they had improved, so I don't know if it is the injections or not. Can't really risk it in any case, as the effects are quite debilitating. Wish I knew for sure, but it's just not worth it. I wonder if you are still around applewine, have you gotten better from this or found any more out about it?

Wow this is the first site I have found which confirms most likely why I am having problems since two months of weekly allergy shots.  I have unexplained weight gain with difficulty losing and pain in my back and joints which I did not have prior to a couple months ago; I have thyroid problems as still trying to get regulated after having my gland destroyed two years ago yet this is much different what i am experiencing and I was going in the right direction with my weight prior to these injections; I noticed significant weight gain especially as my preparation was increased of recent; I should have asked what was in there which could also potentially cause an allergic reaction as I have a lot of sensitivities to different things and I should have known better having had an auotimmune problem I dealt with that this messes with the immune sysem enough to make it work harder. I'm also very fatigued right after a day or so and I have enough problems with energy levels;  now that I listen to everyone else here I realize what is happening is not all in my head or due to something else; I know my doctor and his nurse who administers them will not believe me yet it is my body and my allergies were not that bad to begin with yet I also seemed to notice that things were worsening instead of getting better; which may be something that happens in the beginning phases yet in any events I cannot afford to keep feeling lousy;seems these injections are not necessarily for everyone?!  I just hope that my body can regroup, rebalance and go back to somewhat normal again soon!

I had a doc that made a serum that didn't work for me. I ended up with a migraine after each shot. I went to a different doc and had no problems for 2 years.
