I am a 13 y/o female, i have really bad anxiety, and i know this. And a lot of times even though I don't have a heart defect and i actually went to the hospital with tachycardia once and they did all kinds of tests on my heart ending in no bad results, in fact flying colors. For some reason I'm still crazy nervous, obsessively thinking about it, searching about it, going to sleep worried, waking up worried, constantly checking the oximeter. Please help me on coping with this and cooling my nerves about a heart attack as there is basically no risk for me.
Hi. It is very unlikely that your anxiety can lead to severe heart problems, but you must do something about nervousness. Why are you so anxious? Do you have any idea what is behind it?
You must go to the root of your problem to try to cope with it. Thinking about it all the time will only make it worse.
Try doing something that will keep your attention:
1. sign up for a theater class,
2. start doing sports,
3. try to write something, or make yourself a challenge of 1 read book per week,
4. start singing lessons,
5. do whatever you want. :)
