Can i get chlamidia from anything but sex?

People if you don't know what your talking about then quit commenting,you can catch clemedia other than sex,so quit giving false advice,your Screwiuup people's lives,your no Dr,and even half of them have no clue

No that info is not right,don't believe everything you read on here you can catch the STD other than sex,people read stuff on internet and think it's all true and accurate,first of all that person is no DR and don't have a clue,going by what they heard,but if you do your research properly and not listen to googlers for diagnosis you would learn a lot more,NOT always sexually transmitted,and some people find it fun to cause problems for others,JS,and a lot of DRs don't know the facts

You are so ignorant. First off Chlamydia is Chlamydia. And bacterial imbalance is just that. You cannot get Chlamydia from wiping wrong, wearing clothes that are too tight, or a dirty penis, you can get infections and/or cause an imbalance.. but not Chlamydia. You can only catch Chlamydia if you have sex with someone who has Chlamydia. Chlamydia doesn't turn into gonorrhea, you can have one, and you can have both, but they don't turn into each other. And the pills are not any one color. Please do not spread any of what you think you know again because you are misinforming people

That's not chlamydia that's a yeast infection you ONLY get chlamydia through sexual contact. I'm studying to be a gynecologist and we had to learn about stds. Someone lied to you..

I had chlamydia at 16 while a virgin. They kept diagnosing it as ovarian cysts and bladder because I was not active. By the time they figured it out I had to have. DNC. The specialist who I was sent to that finally figured it informed my mother I was lying because I had to be active to have STDs.
Until he did a pelvic exam. Then I got an apology and an I don't know how she got it.

Ok. Doctor i have a question for you. My husband and I have been married for over 10 years. Neither of us ever had any infection. We always get tested yearly during our doctor visits and always come back clean but this time when I was doing my yearly pap my doctor told me I'm positive for chlamydia.I of course assume my husband was cheating but he got himself tested and came back negative. So explain to me how did I contactef the infection? Before you start accusing me of cheating. My husband has been my first and only man I've been with. The only man I have sex with. So again there are others way to catch it and doctors like you and scientists should research this infection more.

So you CANNOT get chlamydia from wiping the wrong way? I'm just freaking out right now. I don't know if my boyfriend have it and we had unprotected sex how many times. I didn't know i had chlamydia until last week. I'm not sure if my boyfriend messed around with anyone while together but i know he did it with someone in October month i think. He told me that he didn't mess around with anyone while together, even with his ex.

Chlamydia cannot "turn into gonorrhea" EVER. Completely different bacteria. He is a physician and did exactly what a physician should do.. Properly inform those who are incorrect. Thats 99.9% of people on this comment thread. "As educated as he tries to sound"? Are you kidding me? You are the one who looks ridiculous here. He gets paid to diagnose properly. If you prefer to pay doctors for incorrect diagnoses and pseudoscience make-believe BS, then by all means. But most would prefer to pay to have accurate information. He has full right to criticize when people are giving out information that is this far from the truth and can possible harm someone or keep them from seeing a doctor because they think a damn std is the same thing as a yeast infection or bacterial infection. AN STD AND STI ARE THE SAME THING JUST DIFFERENT TERMS. They mean the exact same thing.

If a little kid ends up with chlamydia whether in the genitals OR eyes. THEY ARE BEING SEXUALLY f*****g ABUSED. Chlamydia bacteria does NOT live like that outside of the body long enough to "accidentally" come in contact with it. THEY ARE called a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTION OR SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES FOR A REASON!!! THEY ARE SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED.

Your husband took antibiotics to hide it from you. Its not like herpes where you aren't guaranteed to get it just from one encounter. Hunny... Think about it. If he has been screwing you and you tested positive. Then HE WOULD HAVE IT. It is highly transmittable. You have a 100% chance of getting it from having sex one time unprotected. ESPECIALLY when transmitted from female to male. He cannot avoid getting your fluids into the tip of his penis during intercourse. He is either lying in general or he already took antibiotics in an attempt to hide it or deceive you into believing you didn't get it from him. The meds they give people for bronchitis is the same meds they use for chlamydia. Penicillin or azithromycin known as Zithromax. Only way he wouldn't be lying is if he took antibiotics for bronchitis and cured his chlamydia without knowing it. But he still screwed someone other than you...

Ok, what about the possibility that you got it from your partner because you were doing some freaky stuff with her like using all holes at the same time.... could chlamidia come from penetrating the anus and then penetrating the vagina at the same time without cleaning your wood???... sounds like a possibility to me because I haven't been unfaithful but my girl just got this diagnosis and spazzed out on me for supposedly cheating, but I haven't but we have been doing freakier stuff like what's explained above and I wanna know if this could be the smoking gun that brings us all closer to an understanding of problem we all seem to have.... could it be our sexual practices with our longtime partners that infected us??

Sorry bud but your husband must have lied to you Hun. I love with 3 nurses and a doctor and have been discussing this and I myself fought this as a teenager there is not way your husband could have fought it from touching someone's first stuff it must be passed through some sort of sexual contact... oral, genitals touching or sex.

You are an MD and need to do more research on this. The people who said a person can contract it in other ways besides sex are not completely wrong. Maybe in the ways they said. You are wrong. If bodily fluid that is infected gets on something and a person touches it before it becomes inactive then they could contract it. Go back to school MD. Tell people the whole truth.
