Hi,

I just got tested for chlamydia and im 8 months going on 9 (prego) been with my babydaddy for over a year now. My doctor told me i was positive for chlamydia but i just got tested 2 months ago and i was negative now im positive??? I know i HAVE NOT BEEN WITH ANYBODY but him... When i asked him about it he promise that he haven't been with anybody at all but how can this be... I mean i dont know if i sould believe him or not but ihave it so it mean somethings not right... He say when he pee it dont hurt he dont have it but yet many people dont know they have it until they get tested... Why would he put his unborn out there like that... I really don't know what to do im to young for this and i dont want my baby to be messed up in life for something like this... My doctor said that everything will be ok if i take my meds on time or she (my baby girl) can come out blind... Im just hoping the best right now but idk what to do with my babydaddy is he telling the truth maybe something else went wrong? I really need some help on how to deal with this...

It shows when someone is doing wrong not telling the truth only you know if you are true to your word or not but if its not you then you paint the picture its always right in front of you...

I also do not believe what the doctors have to say about chlamydia. My wife and i have been together for almost three years now and were barely have any problems. Last year she contracted Chlamydia and i was looked at as the scumbag. I knew myself that i had done nothing wrong so i went to get a 500 dollar test done and it said i tested negative. Now a few weeks ago she has contracted the disease again and she and i are completely honest with each other. She has never cheated and neither have i. But the doctors are ruining our relationship when they constantly blame me. So no i don't believe you you mr./mrs. MD. Not because i think your lying. I just don't believe that today's certified doctors have put enough study into this situation. There are too many strange occurrences going on for anyone to honestly believe that Chlamydia is JUST a SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE. There is more to this situation.

this is crazy!!! i have chlamydia and ive only had sex with my man. before him ive had boyfriends but hadnt had sex in 3 years plus the pants ddnt come down and nothing went in my mouth. where did it come from??? and he doesnt have any symptoms. we have been together for 3 months and some. i had first got it after the first few times we had sex and we DEFINITELY did NOT cheat on eachother for a fact. he said while we were talking, he was with some of his guy friends and their was this nasty chick that wanted to blow all of them and he let her not really wanting to do so but he let her anyways. is it possible for it to live on the penis or balls or on the hairs??? but he hasnt been to the doctor yet to see if he hasd it and we both have never had a sexually transmitted disease....i am too young to be goin through this! >:(

I am 24 four and I swear on the Bible or whatever it takes that I am a Virgin, my gyn has checked down there and can atest to the truth. Not even my hand has been down there, nothing has gone in or out. I have been tested and diagnosed Chlamydia and unless I was rape and I don´t remeber (which is unlikely since I don´t do drugs, nor alcohol and have no lapses or anything of the sort) or as a child and also I don´t remember, I have not had sex with anyone, no fingering, no oral, no anal, no nothing.
I think I have been misdiagnosed or something of the sort, but I sure as hell have some nasty mocous-y discharge and am very worried because of all they say it can cause me to be sterile or gonhorrea. I don´t know what to do. I will get re-tested for now, but what if I really do have it?

You all are really wrong.  Listen to the MD and listen CLEARLY PEOPLE!  Please, I used to be a sex educator.  There is ABSOLUTELY no way to contract Chlamydia other than via sexual contact.  That includes: Vaginal, anal and oral sex, AS WELL AS via genital contact (but this is heavy genital contact)(sexual contact does include mother to baby via birth as well) There is a slight risk of eye contact with genitalia.  Now, if you are fooling around with someone and you are both naked and genitals touching, but no insertion, there is a risk. IT HAS TO BE GENITAL CONTACT!  There has never been anyone who has been reported as getting chlamydia via toilet seats, clothes, kissing, etc...

If you consider yourself a complete virgin, never had any sort of genital or sexual contact with someone  then either you have been misdiagnosed (get re-tested) or have a horrible memory.  If you think your partner has never been with anyone else, think again.

Its highly unlikely to get chlamydia from your mother and then show up when youre 24, think again.

Ok, yes complete virgin. As amazing as it may sound. I have never passed from second base, akward groping over the clothes, but that´s it. No getnitals against genitals, as I said, no fingers, mouth, penetration, nothing. My doctor, I would think she knows what she is talking about, says that someone could have used my sponge and since bateria is easily preserved by humidity, it could have been passed through it. I don´t know if that could have been; I live in a dorm, doing my matsers, so maybe some desperate or otherwise bugging roomate, trying to be funny, who is infected and with terrible hyginical habits; used it. I´ll have to make some inquiries.
I can read, I have read a lot about STDs, that´s why I am asking because to me, there was no way, no way I could  have Chlamydia. The violation/ gotten-it-as-a-child thing was sarcasm, I am sorry I wasn´t clearer.
And just for the record, I really needed an answer, I am not just some id**t trying to scare or bug anyone; I am really concerned. So I am not making up anything nor lying. I truly am a complete virgin, so... Also I have excellent memory.
Thank you.

'Ok so I have read this and having recently contracted this (via having sex of course) I wanted to shed some insight on it.  For starters the most possible and probable way to contract it is through intercourse.  You can get it from a toilet seat if and only if you see some fresh fluid and you decide to wipe your genitals in it.   Once the bacteria dries it is dead.   According to the CDC the chances of contracting it from any other source than sex are so slim that you need to go play the lottery cause you have a better chance of winning.   Most people with this STI will tell you they didn't have sex mainly because they are embarrassed.  Alot of people contract the disease just by letting the penis rub on the vagina before actually putting a condom on.  if its wet well its transmittable.  Now a days they can test you via a swab which in men consists of a tiny swab inserted about oh an inch into the penis.  (hurts like hell) or they can now usually do it via urine test by obtaining the beginning portion of when you start to urinate.
In women it requires other exams as it can damage other areas in the reproductive system easier.  Testing for gonorrhea is also obtained from the Swab/urine test.   Treatment is normally from taking doxycycline 100mg for 7-10 days and you shouldn't have sex until symptoms go away.  Like any bacteria having sex with a person infected after will reinfect you.  For the best information on this you can find it on the CDC website.  The US CDC also provides information in other languages for people that do not speak good english.'

I've discovered too that I contracted this, by sex through my partner. We have been dating for 3 months and its kind of up in the air how serious our relationship is, but I am not seeing anyone else NOR do I think I have contracted this through the last relationship I had back in May. (Although that could be true). My ex boyfriend could of given it to me, and now my boyfriend may have it as well but has no symptoms of it. I do not think he has it, but we did have sex, anal, and oral and I'm worried that because we had unprotected sex (without a condom) could be the reason why I have Chlamydia and because the last person I had sex with was my ex, I could of gotten it from him (back in May). Although I HAVE HAD it before, yes I have had Chlamydia before when I was dating my ex, but we both were treated. Unless treatment failed for both of us (highly unlikely because I abstained from sex...although what could of happened was it came back...) I believe that is the case for me is that the treatment failed, or because of unprotected and anal sex I had with my recent partner.
I have had mostly symtpoms from my cervix/vagina and abnormal discharge but I don't really know about my ***....sorry thats tmi but I really do not want to have that region also hurting. because I've had some slight discomfort there but nothing too excruciating.
I got tested postive for both Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. :(( my self esteem and state of mind is really low right now and I feel like c**p!! I really like my boyfriend and we get along so well. but he's also the very understanding type of person, so if we do have this conversation I have a good feeling it will work out fine and he will understand me and he will be able to share anything important he has to say too. I hope for the best!

I have read these reviews with some interest as i have recently been diagnosed with having it. I do believe that what someone else said about more research into it is needed as i have not had a sexual partner in over a year!
I am single and get tested on a regular basis because i work in a mental health hospital, the patients spit, bite, play with themselves etc and to be cautious i go through the uncomfortable test.
All my previous tests have come back negative but the last was positive, the only thing i can think of is a patient who was playing with himself, i may have inadvertently rubbed my eye with the glove after cleaning him because he also spat at me in the face.
Although I havent had an eye infection i may have then transferred the chlamydia from my eye to my genitals (im only human and we all do it at one point).
Obviously my case is a lot different to others and i do believe that 9/10 its because a partner has been unfaithful but i dont think all people should be tarred with the same brush. I have no reason to lie about being with someone as im single and can do what i want in my private life.
