How long and how much did you smoke?
Reply
I am still testing positive with the at home tests and have quit for 62 hours so far, I am a light smoker smoking two cigarettes a day but have been smoking over 30 years and am over weight. Not sure how much longer I can go becasue even though I only smoke those two a day, the reason I smoke those ones is becasue in all my quiting attempt, those were the only two that I couldnt seem to give up. It seems the more time that goes on without smoking the worse the symptoms become, I feel like crawling out of my skin, pulling my hair out, I can not be out amonst anyone due to a possiable relapse, depression and hoplessness is setting in. I am hoping these symtoms subside becasue I have to go back to resuming a noraml life in the next couple of days, I really thought the side effects of quiting would be less as time was going on but really it seems to be the opposite, they seem to be getting worse. Just trying to hang in and see how long I can go for. If I doin't make it I will have to start all over again which is really bumming me out. This sucks, it really does. I can't think of anything else that sucks more right now. It is hard when your life is already sh*t to feel like sh*t on top of it.

AMEN...I couldn't agree with you more! I can only hope that it made EVERYONE who read your post think twice about their own morals based on the choices they are making. At what point do you accept responsibility, own up and face the consequences. If you can't then how can you learn from your mistakes and become a better person? You are only learning how to be dishonest. Where are the values in that? Where is our self-respect?

I am going through the same thing with my teenage son as so many parents are thanks to candy flavored e-cigs. I am absolutely sickened by the posts and the fact that these are 'adults' and parents. There is a serious lack of education, knowledge and understanding...to mention a few.

I truly hope you were able to quit completely. It's encouraging knowing you are doing it for your self. It's the only way you'll be successful. Way to go!!

I was a smoker, I need surgery and the med center said that I could not use any patches or other helpful systems to quit smoking. My doctor told me that I had to quit for 6 weeks before they would test me. It has been over 7 weeks since I have quit. I don't plan on starting to smoke even after they do the test and I hopefully pass. The will probably do the nicotine test before surgery. Why go through all of that, put the doctors through getting ready for surgery then get busted for cheating. Quitting smoking is not the doctors doing this for no reason, my doctor said that bones will not fuse if you are a smoker. Get a life, if your doctor said you can't smoke, don't.

I am on here researching how cheaters can pass test. I am so glad you spoke truth. And as far as your son goes. Keep up the GOOD work. He needs tough genuine love that sees the danger he does not see for himself.

Good for you!! You are spot on...unfortunately addicts will lie lie lie to maintain their drug ( including nicotine). So sad.
