talk to your doc. i finally figured out my solution after YEARS and trying EVERYTHING! i noticed that about a day after i had sex, i would start to get BV. now, each time i have sex, i put a very small amount of clindamycin cream in (i fill the applicator less than half way full). it keeps everything in balance and the infection from starting. it has been the only thing that works for me and i have been doing this for years now. 2 of my docs have said this is fine for me and usually set me up at the beginning of each year with about 5 refills. because you are going to use it sparingly, one tube should last awhile! the idea is to stay on top of it! good luck. it sucks to live with..i know...  THIS WORKS!

What I load of rubbish. BV is not a STI

Ok it has to do with bacteria this happens to me and i founf out that some men can have bacteria on them that dont harm them but can throw the balance of our vagina. And yes he should get treated and so should you. It could work considering it would kill those bacteria causing this cycle.

This may be a bad question but.... can continuous bv infections affect your chances of having children?? Or no?? I know std can affect it, but I wasn't sure about bv. It seems like everytime my fiance and I have sex, it get bv. Its really annoying .. but we dont use condoms and I often wonder if this constant infection is going to mess up our chances of having a baby

NO THAT'S A LIE... YES HE CAN STILL BE GIVING IT BACK TO YOU ESPECIALLY IF HE NEVER GOT TREATED. THEY CAN GET UTI AND YEAST INFECTIONS TOO. THAT'S WHY THEY TELL YOU WHILE YOU ARE TAKING THE MEDICATION TO NOT HAVE INTERCOURSE. SLAP YOUR DOCTOR. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years now. It started as I would always bleed a little after sex.Ever since I've been with him I have had at least 8 UTI's, and now I'm starting to get yeast infections. I've had two of those already. Every time I get them is when we go at it like jack rabbits. I really plan on asking my doctor is it possible that our body fluids don't match...like how certain DNA's don't and that is the cause as to why some kids come out with birth problems ( my cousin went through that. Her and her husband had a baby and though told her that there DNA's was the cause and that they didn't need to have anymore kids because they may not be so lucky next time. Crazy right and I've never heard of that happening before). Anyway, my point is I have done everything. I drink plenty of water and cranberry mixed together, and not the cocktail kind. I pee before and after sex. I don't spray perfume on my panties, nor put powder down there, let alone bath with very strong soaps. I only use cocoa butter, black and or Ph balance soap. I go as far as time in the shower and make sure he really srcubbs...LOL sometimes LOL!!! No seriously it's getting to the point where even if I don't even want to have sex with him, but here's something freaky..... HE SAID WHEN HE WAS WITH THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILD FOR 4 YEARS HER BODY ACTED THE SAME WAY! I'm going to end with that.......I will let you know what the doctor says

I have been dealing wuth bv since forever!!! After my 2nd child. And youre right seems like it comes after intercourse. Ive noticed if you engage n sex and take a break, its best to use your soap and a towel n give it to him to wipe himself off before you all engage again. After sex I immediately go to the restroom and clean my private area with sensitive skin soap n water. I even bought a douch bag from walgreens like older people have..lol but I fill with water n rinse myself inside n out. It reduces occurrences. As for the medicine, I have a unlimited script for boric acid capsules, I pay .50 per pill but one pill knocks out all symptoms in one day!!! Insurance wont cover it though and I could only get it from a mom and pop pharmacy. It is the best ever!!! Trust me!! I have had all those embarrassing moments from bv!!! Works like a charm. Also white underwear if u can or at least white cotton crotch lining, wash underwear seperate n all clear, or dreft. Nothing harsh. After u use the boric acid, I promise the only thing you will have to use to clean that area is water. Doctors say dont use soap down there but I dont believe in that for one second. Yeah that did answer my curiousness. Me and him where talking and he mention to me that maybe I should dush more. Now I don't dush. I heard that its bad for you, and since my lady is very sensitive I wasn't in no way interested. However, he agreed but he said to keep the bottle, sterilize it, and every time after sex dush myself with warm water. Don't sound quite bad. I think I'm going to add that into my already crazy remedies. Thanks.....

I can't say why this is happening before I met and married my husband I never had BV ever or anything else. I don't think it is VD but it is listed on the CDC site. I believe in staying faithful and have been.We broke up for about two weeks. we had sex I got BV. The doctor treated me and not him. I don't smoke or use perfumed soaps take very well care of my body. Now the tricky part we broke up once again did not have sex for a six months I never got BV during that time low and behold we have sex again because he promised me he had not been unfaithful my fault because my gut told me otherwise, so after sex with him "its back". I have found they can get it from a women that has it and be In their sperm but it will never be detected in a man. The CDC page does tell you to limit your sexual partners. I think that odd. Not much is know about BV, but they need to find out. Like I said before my husband I never had this issue ever. I do find it quite upsetting before the break up's I never had BV. Until more is know it condoms or nothing.

You know what a woman knows her body. Well she should. I do not care what any scientific studies are showing. I know for a fact that every time I have unprotected sex with my current sex partner the next week (more like within three days) I start to swell and smell down below. And then I would find myself at the doctor being told WOW! You have a lot of bacteria down here. I get my magic pills then I'm cleared up until he decides he just wants to feel it without a condom...... Now my momma told me that this is from one or three things someone is cheating, he has an infection in his body, or our chemistry does not mix... So to me yes BV or whatever you want to call it is sexually transmitted.

Depo Provera is strictly progesterone, which takes out the estrogen your body produces. The reason you're feeling as if you're have frequent UTIs is because the lack of estrogen causes the tissue of the vagina and the lining of the urethra to thin. When that happens, it results in burning during and after urination and the feeling of frequency and urgency. If you continue with the Depo, ask your doctor to give you an estrogen cream that you apply topically a few days a week. This will help keep the tissue thickened, and will alleviate the feeling of UTIs. (I know this through personal experience). If you have not gone to the Dr to be positively diagnosed with UTI or bacterial infections, here's some things you can make habit of... DO NOT DOUCHE! At all, for any reason! Douches are usually iodine and water, which strips not only the good bacteria, but also the bad needed to keep the ph level balanced. Make sure to urinate no more than 10 mins after intercourse. That will help clean out the bodily fluids that worked their way into the urethra, and cause a UTI. Make sure to wipe front to back, as the urethral opening is backward facing. Drink a glass of cranberry juice everyday. That's good for the entire urinary tract anyway. The odor and discharge you experience after sex that lasts a few days, that's your body cleaning its self out naturally. If it makes you feel unclean or uncomfortable, ask your Dr for Boric Acid suppositories. Boric acid is basically just soap. It will help cleanse without stripping the good bacteria, or throwing your ph off balance. This is Rx only, and can only be filled at a compound pharmacy. Normal pharms don't carry it. And it has to stay refrigerated. The vagina is acidic, and sperm is alkaline. Combine the two will throw the ph in the vagina way off, and then your body is also fighting a "foreign body". The female body is definitely a crazy thing. Keep in mind too, where a man's urethra is about 6 inches on average (the length of the average penis), the female urethra is only 3 inches from bladder to opening. It takes a lot more care to flush effectively so that nothing reaches the bladder.

I think he needs to see a doctor, and run a series of testing cause he has to have some type of bacteria either in his mouth or down there.

Always pee after sex, cotton underwear and if he's using man soap on his penis instead of fragrance free,dye free, paraban free like baby nivea. No douching, shaving in the folds of vagina can do it. Try a water based lubricate like Yes. Because I am allergic to a lot of lubes and get chronic yeast. also take a vaginal support probiotic once a day. I had heard lubricated spermicide condoms can upset your delicate balance. Also when taking antibiotic take with aphidolpholis supplements. Also men and woman's chemistry could be putting your Ph out of whack!! Hope that helps. I suffered 15 years of yeast infections because of my husbands soap he uses down there!

I do actually think you get it from your other half!! Ask your partner to demand a swabs taken, even if doctor says its not likely! Its not a very nice thing to go through. It used to make me not want to have sex, as it turned my stomache and that evenually led to us separating... Drastic but true :)
