I'm 30 y/o I've had a cyst for about 8 yrs.. I asked a general Dr and a Dermatologist back then and they both said it was not malign, and ok to leave it there. I never had any pain, neither my partner complained about the aesthetics.

I noticed it shrinks when I eat the right amount of fruits, veggies, beans, oats etc, and grows when I eat generous servings of sugar (juice, soda, sugar added cereals), red meat marble, cheese, deep fried, and fatty salad dressings. I think if I eat lean I can get rid of it eventually, but the cyst is kind of big; maybe eating well is the way to go.

While I'm slightly worried the cyst could develop into something serious, I am concerned about any secondary effects of the anesthesia, -just as any drug close to my nut- problems such sperm contamination or whatever, I don't know I'm not a Dr.

Does anyone knows about such risks, and if It could be performed without anesthesia?
Also, for those who have gone through the operation, what was like? what is the recovery schedule?

Thanks.... and post more

Hi im 22 years old and have at least 4 cysts on my left testicle and 2 on my right testicle i noticed these when i was 14 years old and went straight to the doctors who checked my balls and told me that they were cysts and not cancerous and not to worry about them, as i have gotten older i have noticed as my manhood and testicles have gotten bigger so have they slightly but i have been on regular check ups and always been told not to worry as i know cysts run in my family as my dad had them on his body and im unlucky and got them in my nut sack. As for people my age wondering if they cause infertility or impotence then dont as i have just got my girlfriend pregnant event though we were not trying the natural way. The time to worry is if when self checking yourself which you should be doing regularly is if any of the cyst begin to feel hard if so the immediately go to the doctors as this could be a sign of cancer. not my words but my doctors. Like others i sometimes get an aching in my testicles and dont know why maybe the tube gets twisted as it can happen. As for girls i have been with a good few and none have ever said anything about them or noticed them.

Hey everyone i just wanted to tell you that I've been dealing with testicular cysts since i was 13, im now 22, Ive had them ever since and ive never really tried to count them all becuase there are so many. I've been to the skin doctor and they say that as long as the are on the outer part of the skin and not internal you should be fine. I've had some removed here and there but for me its not worth it bc they keep comming back, not sure of the cuase, but i should be fine bc all my cysts are outer cysts. It's just kinda embarassing is all, hoped i helped a little? lol

Hi there, I am glad to hear that you are okay at least since that can be difficult to deal with and they can turn cancerous. Thanks for sharing your experience.

My son is only 18 months old and has just been diagnosed with a testicular cyst. He said it is NOT pre-cancerous or anything to worry about (and it doesn't seem to both him) but I am SO worried about him as he can't tell us what bothers him really and it seems he will always have this. It is about the size of a small egg so the urologist said he has a 6 year olds scrotum and he is just a year and a half. I am not a man so have no idea about these things but even my hubby cringes as it just looks painful.
Anyhow, any thoughts?

I have went through this and my suggestions is do not rush into surgery because mine and a few more ppl I know that have had this surgery have grown back and this is my 2nd time and they are much larger I pretty sure if they much bigger I will get them rwmoved again after I have children but I would not have surgery until I get to the point that there annoying the hec out of you.
My Dr. which was Dr.Vip told me that it is possible it could turn cancerous, but rare and I didn't have nothing worry about. I hope this help some if u want to know more details then just email me, Oh yea btw I got very sick, and was in a great deal of pain after my ultrasound my dr. thought maybe one had erupted, but never was confirmed my experience was a mystery from 2nd and 3 rd opinions I went through a great deal of worry and stress but It was all for nothing

i'm 30, i gotta lump on my left nut, about the size of a peanut, my left nut is bigger than my right nut, the peanut lump has been there for appx. 6 years, i went into the doctors', had an ultrasound, the doc said it was nothing serious, just a hydroceles of the epididymis (sp) . when i was younger i had a strangulated hernia with hydroceles. i dont givea fack, when i come my left nut travels north on vacation and i dont see it again for a while. sup with that? I recommend goin to get yer nuts looked at and doin whatever feels gud in your opinion. i got all these problems and a little bit of pain, ummm, its all part of life*pause**pause again* way she goes. dont let this sh*t hold you down. if you gotta get em both cut off, do it. because if i have to thats' what i'm gonna do. Hemp oil (not hemp seed oil) , made from the bud of indica marijuana cures over 200 diseases including cancer. look into it. take a close look at it.
Peace and Lurve

When I was 17yo I noticed my left testicle was larger than the right, although I couldn't feel any lumps or anything like that. I didn't take much notice of it for a while, but a little while later it had grown to roughly the size of a large chook egg.

I thought I had better have it looked at and I finally mustered up the courage to tell my mother about it. I went to the doctor, who after inspecting it referred me to a Urologist. The Urologist then sent me to have a scan done. The result was that I had a form of cyst which formed around my testicle and filled with fluid. I had surgery shortly after to drain the fluid and everything was fine.

It has been about 5-6 years since (I am 23yo now) and over time I have always been able to feel a difference in that testicle (which I presume is the residual sac from the surgery). Lately it has begun to enlarge again, albeit nowhere near the size it was the first time around, and a couple of days ago I started getting a brief 'pain' in the area when I move in certain ways. I think I will go and see my doctor again if the feeling persists.

To anyone who is having similar problems and is worried or concerned about what it could be: go and see your doctor. There is no point in trying to do a self-diagnosis after reading a few symptoms on the internet. See your doctor and put your mind at ease. Just imagine how you would feel if it did end up being something serious and you could have had it diagnosed and treated months ago!

I have the same thing myself. I'm 21, felt discomfort and went to the doctors just incase. Got an ultrasound and was informed it's just a cyst.
Every couple of months I feel that same discomfort, usually lasts for a week or so. Thinking about getting it removed. (They cyst, not the nut haha)

i found a lump on my left tesical when i was 20. i got checked and got an ultrasound, was told it was a small CYST... the docter told me its nothing to worry about, he said most the times he see's people not even get them removed because it doesnt cause too many problems.... he told me since it didnt hurt me or bother me, he suggested i give it 6-12 months and then re-evaluate the situation..

2 years later i think i made the right decision. it hasnt grown and doesnt hurt me. so im thankful i didnt waste my time getting a surgery

Wow - so many nuts with cysts!! Me too. I've had a cyst the size of a pea on righty since I was a teen - like 40 years now. Its been diagnosed as a cyst several times and has generally behaved well except for:
1989 when I had a vascectomy and cyst was not happy so quadrupled in size for 2 weeks to make me walk like a duck till it settled back down.
1999 when I had Vasc reversal and cyst did the same growing thing. I can still remember the first orgasm after 2 weeks - it made Mt St Helen look like a pimple burst.
2009 when I had Vasc Mk2 and similar thing again. Dr offered to have cyst removed at the time but I declined as he generally behaved. Probably should have done it in retrospect.
Interestingly, righty is not overly sensitive but lefty is a b***h. Lefty is undersize and a real sensitive sucker. Was almost unbearably sensitive between 1999 and 2009 when Vasc rev dropped lefty lower than righty. That did not hang well. Since Vasc 2 - the natural order has been restored and left sensitivity has reduced but still more than righty.
Anyway - only came across this site coz I noticed more unusual growth down that way this morning. Time to get that checked out by ultrasound and maybe removed. From I have surfed today - cancer doubles every 10-30 days and is reasonably detectable by ultrasound; so off to the doctors Monday.

I had a lump on my right testicle for approx 2 years.. Got an ultrasound this year, saw a urologist and had it surgically removed. The procedure was very quick, there was honestly very little discomfort other then the stitches and I feel so much better not having that concern as to what exactly it was. See a doctor, have it removed and don't spend time worrying about something you can't control.

I 30 years old and when I was like 10 i discovered I had a cyst and the doctor said it was nothing. Now 20 years on I still have it and it has not grown nor does it bug me in anyway. It is just a little sensitive or sore if I touch it but otherwise I often forget I even have it!
