Ok, so here's the deal.  I've been hypothyroid since birth.  I've been on Synthroid since then.  I've never really struggled with weight too badly until my Total Thyroidectomy in 2009.  I literally gained 50 lbs in a year pretty much immediately after it happened.  I've tried just about everything under the sun to try and get the weight off.  Don't get me wrong, I love food- I love to cook and I love to eat it.  I am perfectly aware of what's healthy, what isn't, what portions I need to be intaking, all that fun c**p.  The only weight I've really lost is when I had a job that required me to walk for 8-9 hours a day, and even then I only lost about 10 lbs and then plateaued.  Now that I'm out of a job, the weight is just packing on.  I have ZERO energy (I also suffer from Thalassemia Minor) and although my doc assures me that my levels are right on target, I feel he's full of it.

What I really want to know is this: are there any weight loss supplements out there that you guys can recommend for someone who's currently on Synthroid?  I'm not looking for a miracle product; I know diet and exercise are an important part of it.  But I need something to give me that boost of energy- that few pounds to give me that motivation that says "Oh, ok, this is doable."

I miss the old me, and I want her back!  Please help!
