Hello all. I am having a lot of problems with ingesting certain things as of late.

I never had a lot of allergies a a child, but starting at about 2005(24 years old at the time) certain foods seem to be causing bad things to happen. These include, swelling in my lips, mouth, throat(to the point of choking), blisters on my lips, in my mouth, and down my throat. Vomiting, and diarrhea. It started out when I tried to eat some crab and with in an hour I was swollen up and vomiting and stuck on the toilet.

Since then I have noticed I can not ingest shell fish, grapes, and raspberries without severe reactions. Other foods seem to cause me to break out in a blister here and there(which is embarrassing if it appears on my lips), and cause my throat to close. As of the last few months, it been even worse! Almost anything I ingest causes a blister(I can not feel them coming, they just appear and turn blood filled sometimes), and makes breathing troublesome. Just this morning I tried to eat a Michelina's TV dinner and immediately I felt swelling in my lips and with in minutes a blister on the inside of my mouth appeared and looks blood filled(red). Also my mouth feels like someone put a bottle of pepper in it. Before that, last month my GF kissed me when she was wearing this raspberry lipstick and I broke out in blisters on my lips where she had kissed me(went away with-in 2 days).

I do not have health insurance and have been out of work since may last year. My question is what can I do about this? is there some kind of way I can find out at home 100% what I am allergic too, to help avoid things that cause the reactions? Or could this all be, because something bigger like some kind of illness?

I have had numerous herpes tests in the past(since I know the herpes question will come up), most recent was last year and am negative for simplex type 1 and 2(or A and B). Also every girlfriend I have had has been negative as well.

Thanks.
Hi, I have also experienced lots of reactions. I put up with it all for so long and was also hospitlized sometimes. I have now been to an allergist who took a stool sample and found out that my problem was a bug in the gut that had been in there for three years. It has now been cured and no more reactions to food.
