Hi, I have been diagnosed to have cervical polyps and to be at risk for cervical cancer. What is really my risk for developing cancer, from experience?

Hi, cervical polyps are small, smooth, red growths. They are usually formed in the passage from the uterus to the vagina, called cervical canal. It is not known what causes them. They can develop as a result of infection. If you have increased level of estrogen hormones your chances for developing polyps increase. The most common symptoms are noticeable between menstrual periods. Women after menopause are not protected anymore by natural hormones. If you notice any changes, like yellow or white discharge it is certain sign that you need treatment.
