Hi, folks. I have been experiencing some problems with knee pain and I went to a doctor. After several tests, I got double partial patella as my diagnosis. My doctor recommends surgery here. I would like to know which chirurgical technique is used here. I hope someone will know this. Bye!
Hello to you too. I have heard about double partial patella. As far as I know, this is really a rare syndrome. Surgical treatment is the method of choice here. It consists of excision of medial, smaller patella. Its tendon is being preserved. Lateral patella is being moved into central position. You should discuss the details with your orthopedist. I hope everything will be all right. Bye!

Hi, there. Double partial patella is indeed rare condition. It is often misdiagnosed and therefore mistreated. Immobilization is not enough. Surgery is the only solution. Calcification must be removed. Tendon is reattached by transosseous sutures. Since we are not experts, you should discuss these details with your doctor. I hope you’ll manage. Bye!
