I was riding bicycle since I was on college. For some time I was even member of college cycling team. Later on I've developed habit to ride my bike whenever I have time for it. Unfortunately in the last few months I started to feel numbness in my right foot and it was very unpleasant experience for me.
I have visited my doctor but he told me that my both feet are in good shape and reflexes are very good.
In last few days I am experiencing numbness but now in my other foot.
My neighbor who is often riding bike with me told me that it may be caused by improper cycling shoes.
I was wondering if new cycling shoes may release this problem.
I have read you post and as I had similar problem last year I am suggesting you to try new pair of cycling shoes. Your old pair may have deformed and changed by constant wearing and it may cause problems. Cycling shoes are usually chosen to be compatible with the pedals. When buying cycling shoes choose one half sizes less than you would for a regular shoe since good contact with the pedal is essential. When you buy cycling shoes don't look how it fits you while you are walking but how does it fit on paddle. I think you already know this as you are cycling for a long time. Anyway my opinion is that new pair of cycling shoes will solve your problem.
