My nephew was diagnosed with Churg Strauss Syndrome and Pulmonary Fibrosis last November. Miraculously he overcame all odds and the desease went into remission for 1 year, only to return this month. His father is a victim of Agent Orange exposure in Viet Nam and receiving 100% disability for many resporatory, heart and other issues. I know that there has been evidence in the past that this exposure could be passed to decendents and I would like to get further information about this. Does anyone know of any confirmed connection with Churg Strauss Syndrome and Agent Orange? We will not approached VA with any request until we get some more research completed. There are more tests underway because of the assorted auto immune problems and also signs of Valley Fever and Tuberculosis.

Hi there,

Churg-Strauss syndrome is a disease that affects the blood vessels. It makes the blood vessels inflamed which can then restrict the blood flow to vital organs and the tissues. The main problem is that organs and the tissues can be permanently damaged when there is no blood flow. The main problem with this condition is that it has no cure, but this disease is very rare. I am not really sure are there any connections to the Agent Orange,  but I know that this condition happens with combination of several factors, so the Agent Orange might be involved in the occurrence of this disease. I hope this helped a bit.

All the best,

Danella
