Hello all. I just had a question I've been trying to figure out for some time. I went to a urologist a while ago due to lets say a pain in my testicles that started after getting close to getting off but not getting there. Anyways I considered it to be enough to make an appointment.

So the problem so to speak is that there are, I don't want to say chunks but, globules of semen in my ejaculate. Which are a slight tint of yellow among the white. So when I went to the urologist I asked him about this also. He said that it was probably protein coagulating inside my testicles and that I should masturbate more and possibly change my diet. Have any of you heard of this? He asked me the texture of the globules and they are kind of jelly like. He compared it to tapioca pudding, lol. But it is not like this is all of what all of my ejaculate consists of. They are just in it.

I'm not very concerned as the Dr. didn't make it out to be an extremely bad thing and he said it was more common than I was thinking, I would just like to possibly correct it. I have not tried anything yet but was hoping that maybe a protein shake would fix things up. Any thoughts? Thanks
i find that I get "chunks" of coagulated semen along my normal ejaculation when I am too aroused and haven-t ejaculated for a while (like a whole week), being through masturbation or otherwise...

I find it normal that my testicles hurt if I don't ejaculate, as well...

It also happened to me that I get stomach cramps if I don't reach ejaculation during intercourse (which normally lasts hours for me).. this is relieved through ejaculation and getting some sleep as well!

I had the same issue so I really went to see my doctor because I was way too scared to believe that this is OK. But it guesses that it was, he did some tests and he told me that there is no reason for me to doubt that I have a healthy semen. There is nothing wrong with it and there is no reason for me to believe that my semen is not healthy or abnormal. Also, he told me that this can be caused by the stress, by unhealthy eating that is droningly and sure, you need to sleep more.

Coagulation and liquefaction of semen are nothing but the results of chemical reactions between the different components of the fluid. That is summed up and the best explanation. Also, usually it can result in male discharge. You are probably wondering how I am so into this? Well, like you already told, it is very common and I am one with this diagnose as well. It is nothing dangerous, so I am not scared as well. I don't have those stomach cramps that you have, so I think that I am pretty happy about this. Don't worry, it is normal. Well, relatively normal.

I don't have any answers, just wanted to share that I experience the same when haven't ejaculated in a couple weeks.

I have the same issues, well I really shouldn't call it issues since it's normal. You need to stop worrying what the porno guys semen looks like compared to yours is what I am thinking. All it is is just protein buildup in your testes. And maybe your diet. Since I eat a lot of protein I usually get the globules, sometimes big sometimes small, and sometimes there not there. It's at normal condition for men to have globules in your semen, if you eat meat and lots of protein. Don't know if this helped.

I have the chunks in my semen too sometimes. They are like little pieces of gelatin, or little pieces of tapioca, sometimes like little mini gummy worms(I know that sounds weird). Also, sometimes they are bigger than others and more plentiful. I have been extremely curious(over the past few years) to find out what the heck they are(and what causes them). Unfortunately, there isn't much definitive information out on the internet, other than people mentioning that they have them(and there seem to be a lot).

If anyone knows about this, please enlighten us!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Yep. I am in this situation too. I too was concerned until I read that there are others out there which to some extent is reassuring but it is still a bit weird to me.
Must get more sex ! :$

A yellowish colour of the ejaculate usually depends on an increased content of flavo proteins of seminal vesicular origin, indicating long time of sexual abstinence or from B-vitamins.
hope that helps.

Chunks in your semen are normal. Nothing terribly wrong with it unless it is causing a lot of pain. Semen contains clotting factors that clump the sperm together with other ejaculate components upon contact with the vagina. This is done as a defensive mechanism for sperm because the vagina is acidic and will kill them before they can do their job. Normally your semen contains other enzymes to reduce the acidity of the vagina and then the lumps of sperm will liquify again to let the sperm march onward. Occasionally due to a lot of B12 or lack of water (lots of different reasons) your semen can coagulate sooner than would be expected- i.e. not in the acidic vagina. Once again there shouldn't be any problems as long as there is no pain felt at anytime during ejaculation or pain felt in the prostate region. If you feel pain- see a doctor just to check things out. Remember that everyone's body acts and functions slightly different on the molecular level and things like chunky semen is one of those! Way to be proactive about your health!!! More people need to be more proactive!

I have run into this problem, and it bothers me emensly. I never noticed it untill recently but i've heard comments before to suggest it's been going on a while. For me roughtly 10-20 days not having sex or ejaculating as a whole my seman seems to have chunks in it. From visual observation the chunks are tubelike, have the consistancy of jelly, (yes i inspected it because i'm curious). After reading up on it, the next time it happened i left it on a towel for 1hr because i read that it should "change" consistance within 30minutes. Well it didn't. It ONLY occurs on my first or maybe first 2 ejaculations after a drought. The information that was given about protein build up makes alot more sense. Since i have an illness (hypo-kelemic perodic paralysis) I am almost forced to eat a heavy atkins type diet. That being said the protien possibly builds up in the track from the testicles and is ejaculated after buildup. I am no doctor but the only thing that comes to mind is sediment. After 1 or 2 ejaculations it clears up and everything is normal. I think that information should be brought up to your doctor. And guys If your not sure if you have this problem, all i can say is if it feels like your ejaculating enough to stop a train then you might want to check. I wont say it hurts but it feels like your shooting out a cannon ball instead of bullets.

i also have had this for quite some time and after thinking about my diet changes in the past and reading some of the posts here i think i have found what caused mine. i used to not eat meat at all and if i had to i did so in small doses but one day i just craved it and from that day on i have eaten meat with every meal at least twice a day. i think my body went without a decent supply of protien for so long that when i finally started eating it ( and in large amounts) it reacted this way. so i am going to drink more water and cut my protien intake in half and see if it gets me anywhere. i realize that its normal and nothings wrong but its embarassing when your partner mentions a concern about it and it is hard to explain. i have had it for a couple years now and i just found out this week that its normal which i am relieved but i still would like to figure out how to lessen it or stop it all together. ill post in a few weeks to show my results

I, like the rest of you, have coagulated semen, some sites say it could be a prostate issue or an infection (treatment is antibiotics), some say it's normal.
For me though, I've had this for at least 15 years & it is there whether I abstain from sex or have it daily. (Recently married)

It's something I'm embarrassed about, but I get no discomfort. I'm 34, eat meat daily & I'm generally healthy otherwise.

I was told by my Dr that it could be tight clothing keeping the protein of the semen in too warm an environment, or hot baths, causing it to "cook" like egg white. But with different clothing & cooler showers, it made no difference.

This is what I have been worried about. I have started to have this problem over the past 6 years or so. I have been petrified but from all the others I have read, urologists have replied there is nothing to worry about. I have this really bad i get thick long "gummy worm" strings and my seamen is filled with it it looks like tapioca. It becomes so bad that they get stuck in the very base of my urethra sometimes (which is very uncomfortable)

When my wife and I have kids, I plan on having a sperm test to see if everything is alright fertilit and abnormality wise. Because it does worry me. but it seems the longer I go without masturbating or sex( which unfortunatly is long periods of time due to medication I take which decreases my sex drive) the worse it gets.
