Three angiokeratomas developed in different parts of my penis: One on the penis gland and two on the shaft. They seem to have developed out of nowhere and I freaked out. They were quite small but nonetheless unsightly. I went to a dermatologist, who confirmed my initial diagnosis of angiokeratoma of fordyce, and the treatment he recommended (cryotherapy) would have cost several hundred dollars. I went back home and searched on the internet and found that coconut oil along with tea tree oil could help. I bought both oils at the local health store, mixed them, covered the angiokeratomas several times a day for a week, and after about 10 days the 3 spots were gone!!! I hope my experience helps others.
I also used a mixture of coconut oil and tea tree oil on the Angiokeratomas of Fordyce that covered my scrotum. It was a really bad case and they were virtually gone in less than a week.
Also, be sure you are using a good quality if essential oil and not something at your local convenience store. They usually have fillers such as propylene glycol to extend the quantity.
I would suggest Rocky Mountain Oils, followed by Young living. They are the purest you’ll find without breaking the bank. Tea Tree is fairly inexpensive to begin with.
After you’ve tried application and you are fine, you can add additional drops to the mix. Add a drop at a time as you test. Everyone is different, and has different sensitivity to essential oils.
Hello all. Here is an answer from our dermatologist.
Angiokeratomas are a benign skin condition that causes small, dark red or purple bumps on the skin. While there is no cure for angiokeratomas, there are various treatments that can help manage symptoms and improve the appearance of the bumps.
Coconut oil is a natural product that has many uses, including skin care. It contains several fatty acids and antioxidants that can help moisturize and nourish the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may help to reduce inflammation and irritation associated with skin conditions like angiokeratomas.
While there is limited scientific evidence to support the use of coconut oil for treating angiokeratomas specifically, some people have reported success in using it to improve the appearance and texture of their skin. It's possible that the moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties of coconut oil may help to soften and reduce the size of the bumps.
However, it's important to note that the effectiveness of coconut oil may vary from person to person, and it may not work for everyone.
Additionally, it's always a good idea to speak with a healthcare provider before using any home remedies or natural products to treat a skin condition. They can provide guidance on the best treatment options for your individual needs.
