I have had a "cold" feeling in my throat for about a week. I am not sick with a cold or flu. About 7 years ago this condition showed up; my physician had a name for it and presribed Valium, which seemed to cure this symptom. I have another doctor now which means I have to start all over again with being seen and hopefully diagnosed. Since my former doctor, I was ill for months with severe pulmonary Sarcoidosis. Does anyone know if the throat condition can be related to the disease?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Hello there
Sarcoidosis is a disease which results from inflammation. Most of the cases of sarcoidosis are found in the lungs but this isn’t always the case and sometimes it can appear in other organs as well.
Pulmonary sarcoidosis sometimes develops into pulmonary fibrosis and this can distorts the structure of the lungs. Of course than it can interfere with breathing and this condition can reduce the volume of the lungs as well.
Some of the symptoms of this disease related to the throat are shortness of breath and cough that will not go away but nothing else.
So maybe you should ask your doctor about connection between these two conditions and if there is any what is your next step.
