I have recently had a compound fracture to the Talnus bone related to a horse accident. This happened approx 6 weeks ago. I have numbness, of course, to the bottom of my foot and toes. But recently, I have started to experience the sensation of cold water running down my foot and toes. Any ideas?
This appears to be some kind of neuropathy. Let your doctor know about this. An electric muscle stimulator (EMS) can help you heal much faster. This device is available online.
In my experience, after an injury that left me with diminished feeling in my lower legs, when I began feeling like I had dripped water on my leg, it was when the feeling was beginning to return. The nerves had been damaged and were finally beginning to heal so that I at least had some feeling. It can be painful during the healing process and does feel like neuropathy.
