been 4 months since colon cancer surgery,they removed 3 inches...i have uncontroled soft bowl stool..how long will this last
What do you mean by "uncontrolled soft bowl stool"?. The function of the colon is to reabsorb fluids and process waste products from the body and prepare for its elimination. The fact you had 3" removed means there is less time for fluids to be reabsorb ed (removed from the waste), So your stools will be soft. I had far more than 3" removed several years ago, and I still have to be careful what I eat. There are still times when I have to take loperamide to help. But I would not describe it as 'uncontrolled'.
