Hi. I'm a boy coming up on 15 and have recently experienced a needle-like pain in my eye. It is only to the left of my left-eye pupil. It started a few days ago, where it was every 10 minutes or so, and it was just an annoyance (not very sore). Today, however, it has became much worse - it is more frequent (every 2-3 minutes or so) and much sorer. I cannot see any inflammation when I look at it in the mirror, as my left eye usually gets inflamed quite a lot, due to hairs in it/rubbing. When this needle-like pain occurs now, it makes my eye jerk and twitch in pain. I had to come home early from school today as I've not been feeling well for the past few days (due to the eye problem, a sore throat, head and stomach), and was wondering if these could possibly be linked?

Also, any advice on treating/discovering the name of the problem would be greatly appreciated. At the beginning of the post, I stated my age and gender in case it was something that only happened to boys or people of or around this age. ?
My eye starts to hurt every 10 minutes or so and it gets watery, so I need to cry out my left eye. What's wrong!
