Here is a little background, I have a six year old son already and me and my husband have been TTC baby # 2 for a little over a year now. I have been on clomid cycles already and still nothing. It baffles my OBGYN because I had no problem conceiving my son. I am trying to avoid having to go do a fertility doctor. So here is my dilemma, I do not remember any of my pregnancy symptoms that I had with my son except for a cold that I had.( and I apologize in advance for too much info.) I had my period on June 19th, 2010. On June 28th me and hubby had intercourse. On July 3rd and 4th, I started cramping it was unusual because the pain was mostly on my right side, it felt just like period cramps. Those same two days I had a white lotion-like discharge. On the 5th (yesterday) the cramping and discharge went away, however I have developed a cold, sore throat, achey the whole 9... My next period is not due until July 16. Also my periods are normal. Does this sound like typical pregnancy symptoms? and judging the timing is it even possible that I have conceived? Thank you for any information or help you can give me. Especially good luck to those you are trying to conceive.
Hi honey! To me this was DEAD on for ovulation symptoms! Most women ovulate 14 + days after the 1st day of their period - based on a 28 day cycle! So in your case your pain and discharge on those days is DEAD ON! These are the days to have sex - which would give you the best chance of conceiving! What I tell other women and couples is this - IF you don't know when you are ovulating (don't have the signs) then have sex as much as possible every day - not to miss any chance! It is missing a possible opportunity! So it is still possible to become pregnant at different times - this is because a lot of women ovulate at different times of each moth (due to hormones, sickness, stress etc) Also - this is TMI - but raise while and after use a couple of pillows under your buttocks - this helps the sperm get to the "destination"! Also taking prenatal vitamins - actual prental, not just biotin and folic acid - has been shown to DRAMATICALLY increase your fertility! So along with the clomid and the vitamins I am SURE you will have good news soon! Also - this is my personall, non medical opinion - that the side you ovulate from and is the most painful, is the side to REALLY try! The reason why I said this is because all my life my left side KILLED when I ovulated and my period was usually VERY intense on those months! And I conceived both of my children from that side! And have had several girlfriends say the same - so keep that in mind OK? Good luck and health to all of you!
