It feels like I smoked too much but I quit over 4 months ago. This sore throat has been around for almost a month and sometimes its hard to swallow. Its not super painful but its definitely not comfortable. Theres really nothing else I can say to describe it. It just feels like your normal run of the mill sore throat.
A couple of questions that should be raised is
- How old are you?
- How long did you smoke before quitting.
- How many packs did you smoke per day? (Few, 1/2 pack, whole pack, two packs, etc)
Have you had your tonsils removed? Sore throats are indicative of many viruses and bacteria. More than likely it sounds to be a case of strep throat. However without a swab of your throat to check for the bacteria there is no way to accurate assess your problems. If you could reply with the information above, I'd be more than happy to give you a more likely cause and ways to go about care.
