I haven't had too much pain since I cleaned myself out. I'm eating more fiber, and going to the bathroom regulary, but now, the pain is back. I am no longer able to hold my son again. I'm starting to think it isn't IBS.

Hi Kate

Sorry to hear the pain has returned. :-(

Are you booked for a follow up appointment with your practitioner?

Regards, Olwen :-)

I have an appointment with the GI on January 11th.

I moved my appointment up to the 5th. The pain is getting too bad for me to take, again. Could it be Gastroparesis?

Its hard to tell Kate, you've got some puzzling symptoms, and I'm not able to access your test results or be a fly on the wall at your consultations.

Glad to hear you've brought your appointment forward - it will be good when you get a diagnosis so you can start some effective treatment.

Regards, Olwen :-)

I'm starting to think my problem isn't as serious as I thought. I have a seperation in between my abs, from my pregnancy and gaining 63lbs during it. I looked it up and it might be diastasis recti. My family doctor told me about it a while ago, but my surgeron told me it doesn't cause any pain. I've had two hernias since I gave birth, so I'm going to talk to my doctor and see what I can do about that.

I admire your diligence in finding an answer Kate! You're certainly leaving no stone unturned in your research.

I'm doing what I can. I haven't had any answers yet, so I need to do what I can to bring possible explantions to my doctors attention.

I have a colonoscopy scheduled for monday the 11th. My GI doesn't think anything will show up, but wants to do it just incase. He still thinks it's my gall bladder although all the tests I had done for it came back negative. He said it still can be my gall bladder even though the ultrasound and HIDA scan came back negative, but he also said good luck finding a surgeon to take it out with those tests being negative.

Kate,

Your symptoms sound just like mine and I have been taking pain meds for 3+ years :'( ...Pain in lower back, left side of abdomen near umbilical area, very sensitive and painful. Cannot sleep on left side or on my stomach. Everything I eat bothers my stomach, so I just watch what I eat and take to Norco after. I am sick of Doctors telling me there is nothing wrong. Well, almost, I do have Diverticulosis and IBS , but they say it shouldn't cause as much pain as I am having. I am very non functional housewife. If I try and do too much I hurt all day long and the medicine does not help like it use too , because I think my body is getting use to it. Its like where do I go from here? My Doctor now says that she wants to refer me too a GI Doctor , but we have already been there and done that, but I guess she can't remember...I have had CT scans, x rays, ultra sounds, been to the emergency room more than I can count and still no relief. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Michele

I'm very sorry you haven't had an results. I have a two year old and I can't even play around the house with him because the pain gets worse. My GI told me it still could be my Gallbladder although nothing showed up on all the tests. Ask your doctor and GI about that. Don't let them tell you if you don't have pain on your right side or in your shoulders it's not your gall bladder because that is not true. Good luck to you. I'm here if you need to vent or anything. Maybe we can compare stories and see what fits and hopefully find an answer together.

Thanks so much Kate. Yeah, maybe together we can find a solution 8) .....I will definitely talk to her about that. ...I am so sorry to here about your incapacity to even play with your son a little. For some reason Doctors seem to think we have a lifetime to try and figure out what is wrong with us...we DON'T  I have never even given that a second thought. I assumed that because it was in my stomach that it was my intestines

well, I am going to rest
I am going to search about my gallbladder and see
talk to you soon

I can't believe they haven't even brought that up to you. I have a colonoscopy on monday. My GI doesn't think he'll find anything, but he said he wants to do every test that my insurance covers. He said there's another test to check my gall bladder but it's like a special kind of MRI and that hardly any insurances will cover it.
The pain seems to be staying under the right side of my ribs. My shoulders have been hurting but I can't tell if it's a new symptom or my RLS which gets painful.

I have my colonoscopy in a couple hours... I had to drink 2 liters of Moviprep... well that isn't going to happen. I throw up a couple times, I can't stop shivering enough to hold the glass still, I'm not even cold, and I'm all splotchy. Hopefully they can still do what they need to do tomorrow, but I'm not drinking anymore of the moviprep. It's the most disgusting thing I have ever had to drink in my entire life. It's really lemony and sooo sugary. I'll let everyone know if they find anything tomorrow when I get home and sleep a little.
