Do you have mercury fillings in your teeth? If you do try and get them safely removed. Mercury fillings are heavy metal and poison the body. Dentists should not use mercury.

Hi everyone, a few years ago I suffered from terrible swollen salivary glands.
Puss would come out of my glands under my tongue and my glands in my cheek would swell.
I have a history of bad allergies and the problem got that bad with my glands that when I ate something sweet or sour it would set off pain under my tongue and I would immediately suffer an allergic reaction.
I went to the doctors back and forth constantly and they could never resolve the issue until I ended up in A&E after having another allergic reaction.
The consultant you checked me noticed that I had been suffering from chronic blocked sinuses for sometime.
They were that bad that you could not see the wholes through my nose they were closed up because they were that inflamed.
I was admitted to see a specialist and they found the problem to be a deviated septum. I had an operation and my glands went back to normal, no pain, swelling or Puss and the allergic reactions stopped.
Recently, I've noticed they are starting to swell again which has coincided with me having terrible hayfever at the moment so another trip to check my nose is not blocking again is probably the reason.
There is a link between sinus infection and salivary gland infection, that the pressure which builds up causes this problem, so I would advise people to get this checked out.

I am replying to everyone who has had parotid gland swelling in their cheek, but do
not have stones or any disease related to the swelling. I had an elective surgery around
20 years ago, Most of the parotid gland was removed, in an operation but the doctor left a little of it in. I
never had an answer as to why. So because this small amount that was left I still
get some swelling that everyone tells me is not noticeable, however it is noticeable to me. So I am considering a botox procedure. My HMO doctor is dubious as to whether
he will find the small amount of the gland, but he is willing to try. I could end up
for 3 months with a drooping one side of the face or problems chewing. Any comments,
Also I will leave my email address if anyone wants a feedback. I have had parotid swelling for many years, and could be of help.
