I recently stated taking the pill again after 4 years off it. When I took the pill before I had no problems like I am now. I am on the same brand I was before. I have been taking it as prescribed, same day every day, started it on 1st day of my period which was also a sunday. Now I am on my third week of active pills and am STILL bleeding. Why? I understand breakthrough bleeding can happen, but I am on a triphasic pill which is supposed to reduce the incidence of this. I can find nothing on having continuous bleeding anywhere. Anyone else experience this? It's getting very frustrating. :-(
4 years ago was then, this is now and we change all the time. If you have been bleeding non stop while on the pill you need to get ahold of your doctor and see if he can and should adjust your birth control. Or, you may just want to ride the rest of the script out, take them like you should then see what happens with your period in your next go around. If it were me, i wouldn't wait, but that's me.

I actually did contact my doctor's office and they said it's normal for the first 1-3 months. I am not sure I can handle 3 months of this! :-( I will call them again on Monday and see what they say. Thanks for the feedback.

I would think that breakthru bleeding is normal but not endless bleeding for 3 months. I have been on several different kinds of bc thru out the years and never bled non stop, unless things have changed that much since i was on them, but it doesn't sound right to me.
