Hello! I have recently started with my Hepsera treatment since the therapy with lamivudine didn’t show the expected results. My doctor said that hepseera is the right solution for me. I have a friend who told me that his results after taking hepsera became even worse. Could it be? Could Hepsera cause worsening of hepatitis in some cases?
Hi! When resistance to lasmivudine is occurred introduction of Hepsera became almost usual thing to many doctors with hepatitis B patients. Hepsera can’t cause worsening of hepatitis if you take it regularly and of course if all other results are OK. If you stop with your therapy with Hepsera or if there is any discontinuation this may be the cause for worsening of your health. Maybe that was what happened to your friend. Keep in mind, the best thing is: always consult your doctor!
