I knew nothing about implantation bleeding until I found this web site and one other trying to find out what has been wrong with me.
About 11 days into my cycle, I started having cramps along with light bleeding that lasted for about 3 days, than became heavier on the 4th and 5th days. I have a milky red bleeding, that I find more when I wipe after using the bathroom. I don’t know how soon after conception you can have implantation bleeding, but looking at an ovulation calculator, I would have been very fertile around the first weekend of September when my fiancé proposed so we have been busy… Around the 8th I started bleeding.
Since I have started getting my period 12 years ago, I have been like clock work. Never late or early, do you think this could mean I am pregnant?

Hi there.
Congratulations on the proposal. It COULD theoretically be implantation bleeding. You usually receive implantation bleeding near the END of the implantation process. So around 12 dpo (days past ovualtion) is when most people would see it. However, sometimes your body may not have fully implanted by the time you are to receive your period so if you were to take a test and it was negative at your expected period arrival then it COULD be a false negative.
All I can tell you is to wait it out and wait for your period to come and if it doesn't give it a few days and then do a very sensetive test. I would recommend something that detects 20-25 mIU of HCG in the urine.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do, whether it be keep the baby or abort.

Thank You!
If I were to be pregnant, I would never even think of abortion. It is a blessing to have a baby. We are happily in love and this would only speed up our plans in life!
