Hello!
I am married and have two children and currently trying to conceive a third. I have been having weird cramping lately, not real painful or anything but enough that some days I do in fact feel like I am on my period, without any bleeding. I have also been experiencing lower back pain. Some people told me that it could be ovulation cramping or implantation cramping, how long does this kind of cramping last? I am not due for my period for another week and these cramp like feelings have been around for about 5 days now. I am also still nursing my 13 month old, I dont know if this could mean anything, but I have had a couple periods (that were regular) since having my baby. Thanks, any ideas/advice/thoughts are needed! :-D
Maybe I can help...I can describe what ovulation feels like. I had it for 40 years, every month. If you find a place just inside the cusp of your hipbone, pretty straight above the middle of your leg and going back towards your back, jut above the top of your pubic area....on either side...usually the months alternate. This is where the egg is released from the ovary and the little twangy pains are felt. It would happen, I would look at the calendar and think...right on time and plan my loving events! You can get pregnant about a day before to about 2 days after...but it's not carved in stone. It always worked as birth control for me and I was really fertile.

They feel like menstrual cramps but not as painful and just twangyer...if that makes sense...like a guitar string...somehow. And last only 20 min to an hour or so...for me. As I reached menopause I felt them on both sides so I see how fraternal twins are born to older mothers.

If your baby is eating more and nursing less you may have begun ovulating again.

I have been having menstrual cramping three weeks before my period. It is not too painful, but enough to feel uncomfortable. Does anyone know why this happens?
