Hi I think I am pregnant. Me n My hubbie have been trying for a while. Over a month ago about 2 weeks after my period which was 0ct 7th me n the partner had been really frisky that weekend and about 2 weeks after that I remember getting a really strong cramp on my right side when sitting down during my lunch break at the same time I felt faint. Now 2 weeks after I am experiencing cramps and AF has still not arrived. I am irregular so this isnt somthing I would normally worry about but for some reason this time the cramps are crazy like when I get up to stand or go to sit down. Last night I woke up at about 12am with what felt like "poop cramps", I went but could hardly push anything out. But I felt better and went back to sleep. I have booked myself in to see the doctors tommorow so hopefully its good new

I am 6 weeks pregnant and been having cramps mostly at night for the past 2 weeks.

The first week it started once a night for about 10 minutes.
The second week it has gotten a lot worse. 2 or 3 times a night and sometimes in the daytime for about 30 minutes. Sometimes it is absolutely excruciating.

I have a history of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and upto last night didnt see the connection. I am very familiar with extremely painful bowel cramping.
The cramps I am experiencing now that I am pregnant feel like extreme period cramps not bowel cramps.
Now last night I ate a very heavy cheesy lasagna which used to give me bad stomach ache. Throughout the whole night I have had cramps and I looked like I was 4 months pregnant.

I am still not sure if there is a connection though just thought I would share my experience.

Most other nights I get cramps around 1 am and then I get very hungry. I eat something and the cramps subside. But usually I get another attack around 4 am and then again around 8 am.

I drink more then enough water so this is not the problem for me.

What I find most frustrating is that doctors and gynecologists don't really know why some of us get such painful cramps.

I had a visit to my ob-gyn a couple days ago and everything looked good just no heartbeat yet as it was just a tas too small. Ill go back in 2 weeks.
Ill update this post. My name is Sacha.

Can anyone reply with an end result. I am now 5 weeks and for a week I have suffered with severe cramping that only heat helps.

The cramping has got less and mainly is at night or first thing after a wee.

I went to doc on Friday who poked and prodded was happy that there wasn't any serious pain.

It would be nice to know when this subsided for other ladies. I want to be excited about my first baby but this pain is bringing me down .

I am 5 weeks pregnant and have been having pain for the last week. I have been to A&E twice now they have been so severe. Had my bloods took every 48hours for a few days and my HCG levels were increasing as they were supposed to! Going for a scan on Saturday to check but they think they are just normal cramps. I might pleased that everything seems ok but the pain is so terrible! I'm finding it hard to work as I don't know when they are going to come on next! Would love to know when or if they will stop!

It's funny, everyone is saying to try great pads....the only thing that helps my passion is cooling pads....like a frozen wet wash cloth or a rice bag from the freezer. ...I hold it for a few minutes then release. After 5 minutes I do it again until the pain goes away. Everyone thinks I'm crazy because it's dead of winter out, 0 degree weather outside but it works. Just don't do it for too long though.....

I have this pain after I've been awake for more than 5 hours, so I think it's related to being fatigued and overheated. Drinking water helps as does bananas or other potassium rich foods because that helps reduce deficiency related muscle spasms. If you can recline and close your eyes for 15 minutes it helps to recharge as well.
