I am so happy I found this thread. I just found out I am pregnant. Today I am 5 weeks and a day, I believe. I am suffering from SEVERE cramping. At first I was terrified but apparently, it’s my uterus getting prepared for this blessing. The pains are brutal, way stronger than menstral cramps. The whole episode lasts about 5-10 mins. Excruciating! I get cold sweats, hot flashes, honestly, total death. I’m scared but I’m not bleeding and everything is fine. Any tips?? What can I do to feel better??

This thread was so helpful to me, thanks everyone for sharing. Whoever mentioned Vicks Vaporub - you are a lifesaver. It works a treat.
I woke up in the middle of the night with REALLY bad cramps in my fourth week. These are WAY worse than period cramps. But there is no bleeding or other discharge, so (apparently) that is a good sign. The cramps have been continuing on and off since, although not as bad as on that first night. The Vaporub is the only thing that helps. I’m now in my sixth week and will be going to have my first visit to the doctor in a couple of weeks. so i guess I will find out then if everything is ok.
Based in my reading, it could be anything from implantation cramps to your pelvis/ uterus slowly moving/ tilting. Whatever it is, the feeing is not pleasant. Haven’t had nausea yet though, and would prefer these to the nausea any day

Hello! I know you posted about a year ago but I was wondering if you had a healthy pregnancy after you got past this?
Thank you!

HEY I am 4wks and 6days and have been experiencing the same thing every night the past 5nights last night it was so bad I went to ER of course they didn’t do anything but an US and pelvic exam told me to just wait out another 2 or 3 weeks and see what happens unless I start bleeding was wondering how things turned out for you

I’ve literally been having anxiety overthinking my symptoms because mine are also SEVERE. I’m 5 weeks and get them throughout the night and i can’t sleep. I’m not a fan of pain relievers so I’ve been rubbing Ultra Strength Tiger Balm on my lower abdomen as needed and it helps. I just re apply it throughout the night as needed. Hope this helps :)

I know this post was made a long time ago, but I was wondering if any of you delivered healthy babies after experiencing these pains and symptoms? I'm so mentally and physically wore out from worrying about this and any good news would help.

I’m also experiencing cramping that is very severe at times and feels like my regular period cramps. Kind of takes my breath away. I’m at 5 weeks yesterday. No bleeding. I have noticed that sometimes the cramps precede some gas. So I’m wondering if the gas moving along my intensities are triggering my uterus.
Glad I’m not alone. I don’t want an ultrasound. So I figured it was pointless to go to my OBGYN about it.
