for a while now between periods i have been gettin constant period like pains in my abdomen. im def NOT pregnant. its worrying me alot but trying to get an appointment at my GP surgery is terrible. last smear test i had was about 3 months ago and all was fine. this has been going on for alot longer. can anyone help?
On which side does it hurt? Is the pain as strong as when you get your period? It happens to me sometimes, a few days before I’m supposed to get my period, and I figured out that it usually happens when I have cold. When I asked my gynecologist about it she said it was probably because of some small infection even though it couldn’t be detected. Im still not convinced because, like yours, all my results were pretty much ok – at least its certain that pain is not caused by something far worse than infection. Is your period regular?
NIKOLS:
the pain isnt on a specific side its generally just all over. the pain isnt as strong as what it is when i have a period its more of a niggling pain. i get it all the time, on my period, off my period its a regular occurance now. i do have regular periods sometimes a little earlier but more or less on time every month. i am checked up regularly but tests i always have have came back clear. i have in the past past had few problems with thrush and Bacterial vaginosis. at moment me and my partner have been trying for a baby and i dont know if these pains are going to cause me any problems when trying to conceive.
thanks for the reply

I thought that perhaps it were your ovaries that were hurting – that usually hurts just on one side and it’s a pretty sharp pain, even when the cause is something like a swim in a cold water. Still, as far as the pregnancy is concerned, the most important thing is that tests are clear which probably means that all previous infections have been completely cured. I’ve heard that some women feel something during ovulation, or even experience a breakthrough bleeding, but I’ve never really thought much of that even though it’s a fact. Ovulation happens in the middle, between two periods. It’s considered to be normal so there shouldn’t be any problems in getting pregnant. Hope that will happen soon!
