hi i get cramps no period for 3 months im not pregnant

I went to the doctor since i went off the pil after getting married i have'nt had any period now in the third month way later after i should've had my period i suddenly get spotting a week later i got more then just a spot and now today i have a realy darkish brown discharge?????????
So confused my goodness, could this all be because of stopping the pil?
I've also had more then 5 negative tests for pregnancy
What is going on,,,now all of the sudden is it the period or should i once again tes??????
