Hello, I am suffering from Cushing disease. For a long time, I did not notice that because the symptoms were very mild, and I did not go to the doctor either. So, the tumor is rather big now. Everyone thought it was something else, but MRI proved it is adenoma on hypophisis. Could Cushing be caused by a tumor on my pituitary gland?
Usually, Cushing syndrome is caused by augmentation of the outer part of the supra kidney gland. This happens because of the increased secretion of ACTH (hypophisis hormone). And this is a result of micro or macroadenoma of hypophisis. So, there is an obvious connection. Anyway, it is a good thing that your tumor has been finally revealed, now the doctors will try to deal with it in the best possible way.
