This is for those of you with no bump, pus, or abses.  This is just pertaining to those of you with a tiny painful split the bleeds. As you grow or gain weight even just a little your skin splits right there to accomodate the stretching of the skin.  If you gain a large amount of weight you'll notice your body can make a whole knew butt crack.  If you have not grown into an obese adult this might be hard to imagine.  Granted, this does not happen to everyone that sretches.

I have gotten that about 2 to 3 times a year all my life. I put a piece of toilet paper there for a day or so and it goes away. I think what happens is it gets moist and just splits and there is always a little bump. This has been going on for over 30 years.

It could be an infection of the pilonidal sinus.

I have the same thing sometimes, but I attribute it to herpes, so maybe I have whatever this it too. Wonderful.

Okay, I have the remedy! At least what works for me.

I forget what the doctor told me it was after dropping my drawers and bending over but he gave me a prescription for Clobetasol Propionate Ointment. After a week of this stuff I was good to go. I use it when the area gets dry and/or itchy once or twice a month but that’s it. Haven't had it come back.

OMG! Have you ever heard of punctuation? And aoperation isn't a word. It's actually two words; a operation. But even that is wrong. How about AN OPERATION???

Actually it's "Are you being serious".
And why am I being a huge butt hole? You're telling me that you don't constantly run across these sites where nine hundred thousand people are asking the exact same question but rarely is there ever an answer?
And if you look you'll see that I have provided the answer that worked for me and that I hope helps others suffering from the same thing. Yeah, I guess that makes me a huge butt hole.

This sounds like an anal fissure, a split on your anus that often has most of the symptoms that you are describing (bleeding, lump, pain) most commonly caused by irritation from a particular bowel movement; however, they can also be caused by various STDs.
