i have just been told that i have a cyst in my left ovary which is 4 cm. last year i was 6 weeks pegnant and i have a miscarriage would this be due to the cyst. we are know trying for a baby and have been for 2 months would the cyst stop us conceiveing and what would been the treatment in removeing it
By the size of your cyst I would say it is a functional cyst. There wasn’t any blood found in it , was there?
The size of your cyst is common and it usually doesn’t need a treatment as it may shrink on its own. Sometimes bc pills are prescribed to help them shrink. That was my case but I wasn’t trying to get pregnant. I was on pills for two months.

I was in so much pain during my periods and they kind of became irregular. Did you experience any strange symptoms?

What did your gynecologist suggest? As far as I know, these cysts shouldn’t affect pregnancy but I also heard that they can become larger due to pregnancy hormones.

The size of your cyst is not worrisome but in case it gets bigger, a doc may decide to remove it.

P.S. I don’t think that the cyst had anything to do with your miscarriage.

I was told by my Doctor that I have a cyst on my left ovary. It is 8 cm. I know that is a large size. My periods are really bad, and painful. I am in so much pain. It hurts to walk, bend over or have sexual relations with my husband. Is this cyst big enough to remove or should I just wait for it to shrink?
