I am 54 and have no medical issues except i have had alopecia areata. It was treated with shots in my head where the hair was gone. my hair has grown back but i have noticed small dents in my scull on both sides of my head near my temples.
I stopped wearing my glasses on my head and my dent is gone. Not saying it's because I stopped wearing the glasses, but that would be my guess.
Found a dent in the back of my head today and then had a foggy memory of finding it before. Then I find a small bump near it. It's terribly itchy. Any ideas?
I also have dents in my skull 4 of them very large and soft. I had brin surgery Jan 2015 dur to a fall and bleeding on the brain so I want to know if this is normal.
yes because i need to know because i know a loved one with this situation and i need to know she hates the doctors and hospitals just let people know.
I to have found an indent and it's scaring me. My doctors are useless and I know they won't happen do anything. I've not found any cause anywhere on the Web. I'm 34 and the only connection I've seemed to have read from so many posts is diet. I'm currently on the Cambridge diet so maybe lacking things.
I'll certainly try the vitimin d like suggested earlier by someone.

I have this too, I have a long dent from my eyebrow to the back of my head. It feels soft and numb and I suffer from really severe dandruff that nothing has helped. I do have a history of head trauma though, I grew up in an abusive environment. I was diagnosed with gastroparesis (stomach paralysis)ast year and I am struggling severely with that. I have also seen a neurologist in the hospital who suspects there may be fluid on my brain causing pressure but I havent told him about the dent yet, it's just too hard to explain...
I have as well. It is in the back in the head not as big as a quater inch. For many days i have been worried about having a brain tumor. But recently looked up the symptoms. Seizures vomiting coughing dizziness etc none of these i have. Please answer the medical question as in need. Thank you
Sheila. Im not a medical professional but seizures vomiting elipsey are symptoms of a brain tumor. I would recommend seeing a docter for a cat scan and a xray. Please consider it. I have a two year old. Who was discharged a brain tumor in his brain stem 6 months ago and had none of these symptoms. Anyone can have a tumor at any age. I woult consider being checked
I have one on my head but I don't no what it is its to the right side of my head and it's getting longer can end one help
I've noticed a dent in my head in the last 2 months. And never had it before. But it came in conjuction with starting a highly stressful job. Plus whilst at work my eye muscle starts twitching. I also have diabetes. Don't know if it's all linked, but not sure my short term memory isn't great nowadays either. I'm 38. Would like to hear more. If any one can shed any light before I go to docs.
I recently noticed similar indentations, as you describe. I also wear my reading glasses on the top of my head and I have just tried to see where the glasses move as I move them onto my head and yes, same as you, they seem to move along where the indentations are! Hopefully that is the reason for them. Will start to wear them round my neck I think!!
You guys calm down, it's okey. Every human ever has these indents! It only natural for our skulls to have a little indent. nkt everyone notices them, but we all have them.
yes i believe it can be. I started wearing my sunglasses oh top of my head and now have a dent but only on one side right where the rim of my glasses sit. I do believe it is because of this....
